Tap at GBD in DC. Hazy golden w decent head. Some floral notes but not too much. Not much honey. Dry finish. Good value at the happy hour the other night.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at FS, Durham. Thanks for the pint, David! Deep gold pour with a healthy, lively carbonation. Nose of sharp grassy hops and (blessedly) understated spice notes typical of the style. Pleasant mouthfeel, with a slight sharpness from the herbal notes. Easy-drinking, moderately flavorful.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Served on draft at the brewery. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a large creamy white head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of bread, citrus, yeast, a clay-like note and honey. The taste is citrus, bread, spice, more citrus, vegetal notes and faint honey. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Solid beer.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Not sure what style I’d call this. It’s called Honey White, and it looks a bit like a Witbier but darker. Not really any spice, though there are some orange notes. It’s sort of a farmhouse, and in fact it tastes a hell of a lot like their summer basil but without the basil... though I can almost even taste a tiny hint basil or perhaps that’s my mind tricking me because it tastes so much like the base of that beer. Very dry palate, which is nice. Hmmmm....
