3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 phaleslu (3543) - Saint Louis, USA - DEC 13, 2010
Draft pint at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber-gold color with a small white head. Aroma of caramel malts, floral hops, straw, and nectar. Flavor is basically the same, malt-forward, with a relatively earthy hop profile. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation and a malty, earthy mouthfeel. Decent IPA, and after trying everyhing Fullsteam had on tap, I am sticking to my theme that the brewery could beef up the body on all of its beers.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of Belgianish yeast (oddly), crackery malt, and hop oils. Flavor of the same crackery malt with hop resins and bitter hops. Not your traditional citrusy ipa, much more resinous, but pretty tasty. It was a little odd at first, I wasn’t sure this was the right beer because it is not your typical ipa (I doubled checked though).

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 NCD (11) - - SEP 7, 2011
Clear gold pour with a fluffy white head. Aroma is slightly grainy with some tropical fruit. Pine, caramel and grapefruit. Nice but I wish it was a little more aggressive in the hop dept
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 freekyp (1296) - Thomasville, North Carolina, USA - AUG 6, 2011
Extremely clean IPA. Clear dark amber with a smallish white head. Great full creamy mouthfeel. No west coast citrus here. More earthy flavors with a solid caramel malt base. Lightly bitter and soft pillowy mouthfeel. Would pair well with most bar food. A flavorful and easy drinking IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Thorpe429 (3823) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - AUG 4, 2011
On tap at Tyler’s Taproom in Durham. Served in a Fullsteam pint glass.
Color is a clear light copper with a single finger white head and some spotty lacing. The nose brings some faint hops and sole floral character, a bit spicy. Light breach malt. Flavor has mostly floral elements with a bit of citrus. Light body and a good bitter finish. Nice brew.
Serving type: on-tap

pint at brewery. Good aroma, sweet citrusy, orange and grapefruit. Clean brownish orange color, no head or lace. Bitter flavor. Lite body, smooth creamy mouthfeel, bitter dry finish. Good beer, not a WOW ipa, but nice everyday brew, worth a try if you’re in the Durham - Raleigh area,
