COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadnít noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. Thatís why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But donít let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. Itís an IPA, Fulton-style.

Pours hazy orange with white head, aroma is sweet with a bit of hop character. Taste up front is oddly sweet, not too hoppy but bitters from the hops well at the end. Average IPA

On draught at one of the bars at MSP. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium foamy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, pine and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of hops, grainy malt and a touch of pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a short resiny hops aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

12 oz bottle. From a trade with deyholla. Thanks Derek!
Clear amber colour with a small frothy white head. The aroma is sweet pears... very strong sweet pear aroma. Mild bitterness there too. The flavour is fruity and sweet. Moderate bitterness and sweet maltiness. Sweet IPA.

Bottle at Andyís while watching football with him, Pearl, Max, and Paul. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. Soft malt and a bit of sweetness and a touch of hops. Malt, a bit earthy, sweet malt, not much else. Finishes with a bit of earthy bitterness. Decent I guess.

Draft at fulton. From notes. A lot of caramel malt with minimal pine resin bitterness. Meh, its ok.

Bottle. Caramel, tree bark, tootsie roll, and light butterscotch nose. Medium copper color with a one-finger creamy head. Rough malty initial, with some bitter and candyish notes / mild and balanced...and not a lot else. Medium body. Okay. Very mild all around.

Pours a red-orange, clear color. A bit of white head. Aroma is resinous, with some sweet malt. Flavors of pine resin again, and fresh bread. Very doughy for an IPA with a fairly malty finish. I would probably consider this more of a regular pale ale, but I do find it pretty enjoyable.

Had it out of a 12oz bottle. Poured a dark clear amber color with a yellow head, and the dreaded wet basement aroma. The taste has blast of hops with notes of caramel.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Tasted from a 12 ounce bottle. Clear amber color with a white bubbly head. More malt than hops on the aroma, and surprisingly, the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
