COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadnít noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. Thatís why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But donít let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. Itís an IPA, Fulton-style.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Tasted from a 12 ounce bottle. Clear amber color with a white bubbly head. More malt than hops on the aroma, and surprisingly, the taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Meh, pretty forgettable overall. Not much complexity, not a lot of flavor, but definitely an easy drinker, which might the appeal. Nice bottle design, though.

Appearance: Copper and amber under an off-white head which fades slowly into a thick collar with nothing much left in the middle. Swirls with tight arcs of lace.
Nose: Mild. What I am able to discern is sweet malt caramelization and sticky pine resin.
Palate: Just as mild as the nose which requires lots of digging deep for discernible flavors. Medium light weight and mouthfeel. A tad sticky up front and in the middle. Hop leaves and pine in the breath. A touch astringent underneath and in the back. Dried apple peel in the back of each swallow. Stale bread crust underneath.
Final Thoughts: Not horrible, not great, and quite forgettable. Cool name and quaint logo does not a good beer make. Back to the drawing board.

Bottle - Had a deep copper, earthy look to it on the pour with a medium foamy head. The aroma was disappointing as it seemed a little sour (not sweet at all). Has an earthy malty backbone to it and a dank finish. Not all that great. Next.

The first hit of flavor is refreshing. And, the hops finish crisp and pleasant, but far from overpowering. It's not a knock-you-over IPA, if that's your thing. But, it's still damn tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Excellent IPA. Found this by accident at a TGI's in MSP. Very impressed. Will have to look for more Fulton beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As far as English IPAís go, itís not bad. Thereís more spice in this brew than others of the same category. Itís almost a hybrid beer: wheat and IPA. Iíd probably go for it on-tap but not again in the bottle. I also noticed that with every sip the taste seemed to be a less satisfying. However, if you are a big fan of English IPAís and want a bit of a change from the everyday beer, then go for this one.

Bottle. Golden pour with a small beige head. Modest aroma is malty and sweet. Very little hops.... similar in taste. Malt base is a little too dominant. It is sweet though, like the name implies.
