3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Caramel, tree bark, tootsie roll, and light butterscotch nose. Medium copper color with a one-finger creamy head. Rough malty initial, with some bitter and candyish notes / mild and balanced...and not a lot else. Medium body. Okay. Very mild all around.

They say they use a lot of hops. This ainít no San Diego IPA. But it is good. Well balanced. I decent session beer.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a red-orange, clear color. A bit of white head. Aroma is resinous, with some sweet malt. Flavors of pine resin again, and fresh bread. Very doughy for an IPA with a fairly malty finish. I would probably consider this more of a regular pale ale, but I do find it pretty enjoyable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Had it out of a 12oz bottle. Poured a dark clear amber color with a yellow head, and the dreaded wet basement aroma. The taste has blast of hops with notes of caramel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 12, 2013 Tasted from a 12 ounce bottle. Clear amber color with a white bubbly head. More malt than hops on the aroma, and surprisingly, the taste.

Meh, pretty forgettable overall. Not much complexity, not a lot of flavor, but definitely an easy drinker, which might the appeal. Nice bottle design, though.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Copper and amber under an off-white head which fades slowly into a thick collar with nothing much left in the middle. Swirls with tight arcs of lace.
Mild. What I am able to discern is sweet malt caramelization and sticky pine resin.
Just as mild as the nose which requires lots of digging deep for discernible flavors. Medium light weight and mouthfeel. A tad sticky up front and in the middle. Hop leaves and pine in the breath. A touch astringent underneath and in the back. Dried apple peel in the back of each swallow. Stale bread crust underneath.
Not horrible, not great, and quite forgettable. Cool name and quaint logo does not a good beer make. Back to the drawing board.
