COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
At Fulton, we love hops. That star in our logo is made out of hops, in case you hadnít noticed. Of course, the hops plant contributes to the character of all of our beers, but sometimes we just want more. Thatís why we decided to brew the Sweet Child of Vine. Generous quantities of Simcoe and Glacier hops are added throughout the boil. Then, late in the fermentation process, we infuse the Sweet Child with another dose of Glaciers, imparting a bouquet of hop aroma that veritably bursts forth upon serving. But donít let all this talk of hops mislead you. The Sweet Child has a serious malt backbone to stand up to all those hops, creating a delightful balance that will keep you coming back for more. Itís an IPA, Fulton-style.

Bottle Poured into a tulip. Clear golden color with tiny white bubbles. Faint non descript aroma. Nice caramel flavor with hop bitterness and hints of hop flavor. Good beer, meh IPA.

pours amber orange, off white head. sweet citrus aroma, taste is bitter. all very simple all around, and not in an astoundingly pure and wonderful way, just in a decent, but not good or great micro way.

Pours a golden orange color with a small white head. Aroma is earthy hops and caramel malts. The taste is earthy and a little bitter but not overly so. Sticky sweet malts as well. Honestly itís not bad but itís pretty boring.

Draft sample at the Minneapolis airport. Hazy pale amber in colour with medium carbonation. Simplistic IPA aroma profile with notes of sweet orange peel, pale malt, and a hint of spicy pine. A similar combo in the mouth, but with a nice herbal note combining with the spicy orange and stronger pine elements. Medium bodied with a moderate amount of bitterness for the style. A bit underwhelming, but no obvious flaws. Decent.

I personally found this to be an interesting contrast to American IPAs. Hoppy, but without the prominent citrus, pine , or resin notes that are typical of IPAs here. I canít come up with a good description other than perhaps earthy or more base. Bitter, but also subdued in this way as well.

Tap. Pint glass. Hazy cloudy red. A unique ipa with some heavy sugar notes. Full bodied. Aroma is of sweet hops. One of my standby beers in the twin cities.

Tap at Whiteyís served up pint glass style. Color is borderline mahogany. A very deep copper. Head prevalent throughout consumption indicating some strong freshness. Plenty of hops to be found but not heavy on bitter mouthfeel. Strong piney aroma. Ends like an IPA should with some bite and a pleasant hoppy aftertaste. This one does indeed have eyes of the bluest skies.

12 oz bottle. Orange copper hue with small creamy tan head, smells of faint citrus and pine, medium body, nice bitter bite, nothing too complex, drinkable

Bottle poured into pint glass. The color is good, the aroma is good, just something amiss with the flavor. It is an okay hoppy beer but nothing special. ---Rated via the Gridfather
