3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Fulton Taphouse near Target Field in Minneapolis. Sweetness in the nose. Softly carbonated. Higher alcohol prevalent. Caramel notes with a hint of molasses. A little harshness/pepper in the finish. Nice beer, probably their best to date.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Muffuleta's - boy is this nice. Dark ruby pour with a light white head. Malty nose, a heavy red ale that coats your mouth with a nice balance of malt and hops. Really nice! If this was $6 in the stores I would be buying a ton of it!!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle from khoffman43. Pours ruby red with minimal head. Nose is muted with toffee and caramel. Taste starts with bits of citrus, mid stream toffee enters stage left and continues to the quick finish. Body is a bit thin.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 ml bottle. Pours a old copper red color with a thin tight beige film that fades to a tiny ring. Aroma is malty sweet caramel slight toffee and red licorice. Taste has loads of malt candied sugar toffee and caramel apple with a little spice hop and subtle bitter finish. Palate is medium to full slightly chewy and sticky with a dry finish. I like, but not mind blowing.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark amber pour, very light carbonation and an aroma of spicy rye and caramel. Flavor is also some spicy caramel, hints of medicinal raisins and dry & a little warming on the finish. At $10 bottle, I’ll probably only pick this one up once; but good nonetheless.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
750mL bottle pours a clear ruby/brown with a small khaki head. Aroma of caramel malts, rye, with fruits and a slight sour aspect. Taste of sweet caramel malts, rye, grains, dark fruits, with a bitter alcohol finish. It’s almost drinkable, yet nothing special, until the end. Gross.

2.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(bottle) Kudos to Fulton for ditching the 750s (25 oz) of this beer which were priced similarly to what I picked up this 4 pack of 12 oz. bottles for. More ounces for a similar price is always appreciated. Pours a deep red color with a white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a thin ring around the glass. Aroma is a little better than the last time I had it and holds a decent amount of rye, toast, cherry hard candy, and cherry fruit snacks. The candy scents are pretty nice. The flavor yields a little punch of rye, but there’s generally just an insipid sweetness about it that places my taste buds in liquid limbo. This has to be one of the most stripped-down and pedestrian flavors I’ve ever encountered in a beer; it’s not offensive, nor is it pleasant; it just is. There’s a little tiny zing of hops and spicy rye on the finish to awaken the corpse of a flavor, but not much else aside from that. Mouthfeel is sticky. Again, I like the direction they’re going by dropping the 750 bottles for this beer, but the flavor requires a significant overhaul.
