Bottle courtesy of Seeing Eye Brad, thanks! Hazy golden color, white head. Aroma is very fruity. Taste is fruity as well, but too lager-like.

Bottle at Cibo Gourmet Express. Pours clear gold with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is fruity esters of pear and apple esters, grain and cereal malt with light hops. Flavor is malty with light hops and bitterness, faint fruity esters and a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

I’d enjoyed Fulton’s Child of Vine and hoped this would prove tasty as well. But frankly I was let down with Lonely Blonde. It’s just another clean, grainy blonde ale. I already know what 2-row barley tastes like and there’s nothing new here. Plenty of other breweries have made this same beer for years, there isn’t much reason to single this one out.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft on tap at the brewery (Minneapolis, MN). Pours a mellow glowing golden harvest hue, lively carbonation, frothy shell of offwhite head. Frothy good firm layer laces ok. A touch of haziness, but a striking golden glow. Aromas are gentle straw, bread, and grains. Some straw, kiss of grass, mellow dough sweetness. Crisp and clean, mellow earthy hop. Simple and sweet, faint waft of lemon. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a touch of bitterness. Mellow grainy and doughy malts, some straw, earth, dry harvest grains. Kiss of citrusy lemon is light yet goes the distance. Gentle grainy malts. Crisp and clean, refreshing, firm bitter earthy and gentle hops. Pretty nice.

On tap at Pig & Fiddle. Everything you’d expect out of a blonde - nothing overly good or bad about it.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft sample. Yellow in colour with strong carbonation. Fairly neurtral pale malt and mineral aroma. More light malts on the mouth, along with a bit of wildflower honey and savory/earthy herbs. Light bodied with a mild bitternes. Simple, but with no obvious flaws. Ok overall.

Tap @ Fulton. Clear golden appearance with a creamy, off white head. Light lemon, slightly bitter earthy, herbal hoppy aroma. Creamy, bitter floral, lemon, potpourri/air freshener flavor. Decent, I guess.
