3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 nsquishee (511) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - DEC 27, 2012
Dark brown/black pour with a short mocha colored head. Chocolate and coffee aromas with a hint of vanilla and hops. Taste starts sweet and finishes hoppy-bitter and boozy. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, anise, and booze. A mans stout. Time to bury a fallen soldier and stick one in the cellar. I have a feeling my 3.8 rating could go much higher.
NOTE: Fulton War & Peace is Worthy Adversary + Peace Coffee (Awesome!)

Black. Tan head. Lacing. Aroma of dark fruits, raisin. Taste of dark fruit, coffee, alcohol. Thick, full body. some dryness in finish. 2 words that come to mind: big, strong.

Sample @ Ale Jail. Pours black with thin head. Aroma is chocolate, plums and maybe some malts. Not a bad beer but leaves a lot to be desired. A boozy, malty, chocolatey mess. I have heard 2012’s is the best but I am not overly impressed.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Atom (1002) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 20, 2012
On tap at Northbound, pours a dark brown/black with a small tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, plum, raisin, coffee, and bitter chocolate. Taste is very bitter, chocolate, dry coffee, salty pretzel, and bitter hops. Not mind blowing but very decent, a surprise from Fulton.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 portableparty (1600) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 18, 2012
750 ml bottle. Pours oily black brown with a nice foamy tight creamy looking tan head that settles to a film and collar. Aroma has nice roasted malt some bakers chocolate and faint soy bitterness and dry biscuit. Taste is smooth roasted burnt malt more bakers chocolate and bitter hops with faint coffee and soy. Palate is full creamy and chalky with a drying finish. This is a solid Russian Imperial Stout. Good work!
