3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark brown/black pour with a short mocha colored head. Chocolate and coffee aromas with a hint of vanilla and hops. Taste starts sweet and finishes hoppy-bitter and boozy. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, anise, and booze. A mans stout. Time to bury a fallen soldier and stick one in the cellar. I have a feeling my 3.8 rating could go much higher.

Big bottle in a teku. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, faint notes of coffee and dark fruits, some light sweetness, and light bitterness. Flavor the same with the roast and chocolate dominating. Smooth texture. A good imperial stout.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Not bad. Very bitter with a little lingering sweetness. Some medicinal qualities under the cocoa, black patent, hint of molasses. Little out of balance on the bitter side for me.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium to heavy dark malt flavor with a medium to heavy dark sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a solid beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm via Paul and Jamie. Pours a dark cola brown color with a thin beige film. The aroma and flavor had dark roasted malts to the point where they were ashy and burnt, dark chocolate, earthy bitterness, a hint of smoke, some dark fruit character, big ashy component, dry, opened up more as it warmed but still very roasted malt forward.
