Cask (handpump) at the Great British Beer Festival Day 2, August 2009. Pale blonde colour. A middle of the road golden ale with some citrus and just a hint of something spicy. Clean mouthfeel. No complaints but there were just too many similar beers at GBBF and there was nothing to make this one stand out from the crowd.

[cask at 2009 GBBF, Earl’s Court] Pale golden ale with delicate hop aroma. Pour is extremely golden – the flavour is a touch watery and maybe lacking something. Not really much zing for a golden ale, it’s quite sweet. Refreshing, decent enough, but maybe a bit too average [05082009]

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.
Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, chlorine, soap, plastic. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090805]

Cask@GBBF2009. Yellow colour, not much head. Aroma is hops, fruits, floral hops as well as some mild acidicness. Flavour is quite acidic fruits along with wooden and earthy notes.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Yellow color, small white head. Toilet cleaning chemical aroma. Ditto to flavor. Also some sweet malts, grassy hops. I don’t like beers with chemicals.

Cask, gravity, at Nottingham Beer Festival ’07. Pale gold with a small white head. Sweet delicate floral hop aroma. Sweet taste with some straw. Mid to high bitter finish. Very good. Beer of the Feastival for me.
