haddonsman (1162), Derby, Derbyshire, England Apr 2, 2007 Cask (handpump) Derby BF 2006. Another festival special from local brewers. Like a blonde version of Cakewalk; fairly chewy caramel notes, alcohol takes the edge of the fresh hop feel. Fruit and hop aromas. Golden coloured and strong in alcohol with fruity and hop flavours. Some dryness in a crisp pale malt finish. dnas2 (522), Yelverton, Devon., Devon, England Aug 23, 2006 Cask at Derby BF 2006. Amber with no head. Very orangey and hoppy scent. Too sweet and sickly for my liking. In the mouth there is caramel and glucose and quite a bit of fruit. Very thick palate. M0RHI (989), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Jul 7, 2006 Amber, small head, fades. Hops, some citrus. Flavour is smooth, easy drinking. Very fruity. Palate is dry and smooth at the same time. Strongness well hidden.
