Surprising beer. Aroma and flavor have a corky lambic Brett character. The comes some rubber lambic phenolics. It needs more carbonation and a bit of a younger beer blend and I think u get a decent 3F clone. Very long and dry finish.

750mL bottle, pours a clear dark golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out vinegar, medium acid, light funk, and light floral quality. Flavour is quite tart, vinegar and acetic, with low funk, high acidity and high vinegar quality. Not really all that complex, with too much acidity for me. Decent, but not my kind of sour.

750ml bottle shared at tasting. Unfiltered orange-tan. Oily head. Pretty standard US Sour..in a good way. Apricot tinged sour yeast tones. Relatively light on the palate, medium bodied. Mellow carbonation. Lemon-lime tones. Tasty, clean for the style.

Picked up 750ml bottle (181/450) from Funk Factory release party at O’so brewery tap room. Pours a hazy Amber colored brew with a thin off-white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind a film top and minimal lacing. Aroma of funk caramel and mild cheddar cheese. Taste is medium bodied, minimal carbonation but still has plenty of barnyard funk, toffee, light oak and citrus. Finish has a high tartness at first and then slowly fades out. Most of the guests were trying to get the Scarlett Letter. This one was the sleeper sour that most overlooked.

Clear amber pour with no head. Low carbonation. Beautiful nose - cheesy and funky. Sour, slight citrus quickly fading into complex soft oak, slightly bitter finish. Very nicely done.

Bottle:   Dark dirty straw, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Big dank rustic lambic like nose, a little corked but it seems to me like one of those aged lambics here.   Much softer on the tongue, not as acidic, and actually rather middle of the road.   Brings up a little graininess and a touch of butter on the backside.   Albeit its light.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A little tart, a touch dry, but not as crisp as I would have liked. &nbdp Does have some mealy notes to it that linger.   Tiz okay, but the little touch of butteriness is distracting.   Thanks Bob!

Sampled at the RBSG 2014. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of toffee, citrus, yeast, grapefruit and some tartness. The taste was of toffee, honey, lemon and a bit of ginger.

Bottle. Grand Tasting. St. Louis RBSG. Pours orange white head. Nose/taste of oak, apricot, french wine, sour fruit and funky acid. Smooth. Medium body.
