A light bodied, tart and refreshing sour blonde ale refermented in French oak barrels and aged on plenty of Wisconsin cranberries. Central Wisconsin is cranberry country, so it was easy to fall in love with the idea of aging our insanely tart sour ale on this beloved super fruit. We used two pounds of cranberries per gallon for maximum pucker factor. This is what taking chances is all about.... Going all out and ending up with something this wonderful.

Bottle @ Pat’s. Thanks, Jake. Bright red pour without much in the way of foam or head retention. Smells a touch like cranberry sauce. Very fruit forward, if nothing else. There’s a lot of sweet red fruits and also lemon and tartness of the cranberry. Flavor is more dry than the nose would lead you to believe. Big time cranberry sauce. Lemon zest and a pleasant acidity. Slight grass, raspberry, and sour cherry. Pretty good, though not too much going on. bright red, no head. Cranberry, tart lemon, sweet cranberry sauce, super fruity, some red berries, sweet fruit, dry, nice. 4/7/7/4/15

750ml. Unfiltered pink-red body. Cranberry tones are big, but the sour tones dominate the overall experience in a sort of unruly fashion. OK.

Picked up 750ml bottle from Funk Factory release party at O’so brewery tap room. Pours a hazy scarlet-reddish pink colored brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind a thin film top. Aroma of tart cranberries, mild tart funk, a hint of cheese and oak. Taste is medium bodied, with flavors of tart cranberries, raspberries and oak wood. Finish continues the cranberry and oak aftertaste with a quick disappearing sour funk.

Really beautiful ruby red pour with a slight white head. Tart nose, slight oak and slight cranberry. Nice level of sour here, nice amount of fruit. Really nice, very fruity.

Hazy pink-red pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of berry, cherry, hints of oak, berry, nice cranberry notes with some lemon, bread, hints of a touch of grainy notes. Taste is a mix of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, oak, vanilla, hints of bread, some lemon, finishing very tart, dry.

750ml bottle, thanks to hu5 for sharing. Cloudy pink red color. Minimal off-white head. Awesome big cranberry, pink lemonade type aroma to it, some oakiness. Satisfying big sour taste, lighter sweet. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Moe slick texture. Awesome longer cranberry sour aftertaste. Some light creme type aromas. Awesome cranberry sour. Want more of this.

Bottle:   Pinkish rose, thin sudsy off-white head, little lacing.   Seems like a tart nose, some cranberry in there too.   Tart on the tongue, a bit bright at first but with a little mealy background.   Tart and dry, witih some very much unsweetened cranberry.   Not as Sour as I would have liked, light to moderate.   Could use some more carbonation.   Decent, but not terribly exciting.   Thanks Bob!

750 ml bottle shared by Chris- thanks again, Chris! After an hour removing the cork, this one poured a hazed bright ruby color with some small tinted bubbles for head. Aroma of cranberries, yogurt, leather, florals, lemon, and wood chips. Flavor of cranberries, lemon, oak, leather, yogurt, and some lactic funk. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a dry, tart, fruity mouthfeel. Nice sour; the best of the three I tried.

Bottle at Levi’s release party - Pours red with a thin white ring of head--beautiful! Nose is cheesy sweaty sock, tart and stinky, with some lemon and a dry cranberry fruitiness. Taste is tart cranberry-real pungent, with some cheesy lemon funk on the backend. Thin, soft body with gentle carbonation. Wow...what an awesome debut beer!
