COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
After infusing a 5 gallon keg of White with Chai spices, we loved it so much that we decided to do a whole batch! Chai dominates the aroma while complementing the coriander, ginger, and orange and grapefruit peel of the White. With a smooth medium bodied finish, this beer is flavorful and refreshing.

draft. pale hazed dull gold. cake. chai character is mostly true, but with the wheat and yeast esters it gives off a sort of cake-frosting and cream note with mild touches of soured fruit pith and mouthwash / mint. soft, creamy, delicate and silky texture with a light body. subtly peppered finish with dull / neutral cream and mild chai mint finish.

Pour on tap at the brewery, nice looking beer with hazy yellow with clean white head, aroma brought notes of lots of cinnamon and chai spices but with the funkiness got a weird twang, some slight fruity and biscuity notes as well. Taste is spicy chai and cinnamon into some biscuit and bready notes, some fruity comes in, not mixing extremely well, finishing fairly sweet.

Tap @ Funkwerks Taproom. A stop on grand tour of Fort Collins breweries and bars with Aaron and Armin, Thanks !! Pours clear yellow with a white head, lively small bubbles. Aroma of yeast, tea, cinnamon, fruit, spices. Taste is yeast, cinnamon, spicy, tea, sweet fruit. Medium body, lively carbonation. Different saison, abit strange and reminds me of Danish spicy X-mas beers. 270212

Tap at Rackhouse. Hazy gold with a laceful white head. Intriguing aroma o bubblegum, fresh tea, a touch of apricot, and pale cereal grains. Grainy pale malt flavor followed by a smooth yeasty bubblegum tone, some light green tea essence, and a crisp finish that makes you beg for more.

In the nose, the chai spices and bubble gum aromas don’t mesh too well. Get lots of clove, cinnamon, and some ginger, not so much cardamom. Also smells like those gummy candies that look like sugared orange slices. Taste is nicely dry, but the body is slippery and watery. Pleasant enough, but not particularly captivating.

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2012 Tap @ Funkwerks. This sounds a lot more palatable than spice rack saison. Hazy light banana yellow appearance with a fluffy white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Earthy, chai, fairly spicy, straw, light belgian yeasty aroma. Actually I get a lot more chai in the flavor than the nose. Spicy chai, orange peel, light vanilla, coriander, sweet wheat, belgian yeasty flavor. Not as bad as some chai beers but not nearly as good as the few chai beers that are done well.
