3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is tropical fruit and citrus. Taste is a smooth bitterness with more tropical fruit, brett funk and a dry finish with lingering bitterness.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Rackhouse Pub and served to me in a snifter. Yellow orange color, soapy head, looks good. Smells very yeasty, overpowering. It also tastes very yeasty, I got a bit of bubblegum but none of the tropical fruits promised by the description and New Zealand hops. Overall I much preferred the regular saison.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Cloudy orange-brown with a hig, fine head. Funky, dusty nose with a bit of veggies and some spice. Estery flavor, peaches, dust, sweet! Bit too sweet and estery for a saison, but interesting and decent.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber. Thanks to Albert of AQ. Big yeasty and mildly fruity nose. Very pretty golden straw color with a fine delicate head. Mild, sweet initial; bitterness rises in mid palate; smooth lemony finish. Thin-medium body. Very good, mild-mannered, but maybe too sweet as a saison.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Explosive off white head when poured into tulip (New Belgium glass wear). Takes a while to settle into a cloudy dark gold fluid. Yeast and tropical fruits dominate the nose in the form of banana and papaya. Sweetness and a little sour pop at first, with a bitter linger. But lacking body overall.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
First imperial Saison Iíve had. Nice light amber color. Average palate with no overbearing carbonation. There were a lot of fruity notes in the aroma. The same can be said of the flavor but not citrus fruits. This did have a sense of spice, which could have been the pepper or the ginger. The alcohol was well hidden.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled at GABF 2012. Nice change of pace here. This beer stood out in the session. Good tropical fruit notes. Saison was a little alcoholy but the package worked. Nice spice notes.
