Sample at first sunday. Lots of oak and cherry. Medium on the sour front. Pretty entertaining and well done. This is my first funkwerks I believe and would love to find a lot more.

Mahogany red, slightly cloudy. Medium carb. Nose of light oak, cherry. Taste follows. Full bodied. Lightly tart finish. Tasty stuff if not terribly complex or long and probably not as sour as some would like. Good stuff.

Deep ruby chestnut with no head. Big nose with wood and plum tones with some char and deep belgian toffee and bourbon. Lovely sour beginning with deep rich plums and toffee, a boozy raisin and oak backbone, finishing with a lovely sour tartness that’s not acidic but brings in the slightest tart cherry note. WOWWEE.

On tap at Funkwerks, Fort Collins, CO. Brownish-orange pour with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of apple cider vinegar and wood. Wonderful sour taste of sour black cherries, apple cider, and oak. Sourness lingers on the palate and is met with a touch of dark chocolate on the finish. Great beer!

Pours unclear thick dark brown amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings sweet and tart yeast and delicious sweet cherries. Flavor brings tarts yeast and big cherries as well on a balanced body. You get a nice juiciness from the cherries and just enough puckering dryness as well.
