3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Falling Rock Taphouse, Denver tap: Pours light yellow with a white head. Aroma is slightly funked up, wheat, and lactoness. Not sour in the taste, but a tad lactic. Not really grassy like a saison. Yeasty and a bit funky. Light and easy to drink. Not really my favourite, but a good beer with a uniqueness factor.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Max & Joes
Pours a hazy blond with a big white head and good lacing on the glass.
The aroma is very faint, earthy and spicy... enjoyable enough... but thereís not much going on.
The flavor is funky, minerally & dry, there is some pear and some tartness, again whatís there is nice but itís all really subdued... nothing bright, nothing much to latch on to.
I really wanted to like this a lot... and I liked it enough, but it sort of fell short on many accounts.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Thanks to my awesome wife for beer shopping for me while she was in Colorado.
The beer is pale yellow / golden with a soft white head. Aromas of farmhouse funk, lemons and misc. tart citrus, floral hops, and grassy notes. Drinks as much or more like a farmhouse saison than a Berliner. Lemon meringue. Sweet but balanced by a delicate tart character. Lots of flavor and gracefully balanced. Light to medium in body with moderately low carbonation. Solid.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle through trade, hazy yellow pour with a thin white head. Aroma of grain and just a little bit of funk. Taste is very similar, little citrus finish, interesting.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, poorly retained ivory head, over a hazy yellow (SRM 3) body.....nose is light lactic acid, hints of lemon, clove, wheat, minimal hop....taste is light lactic acid, hints of lemon, wheat, finishing dry.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation and lactic acid make for a clean finish. This as a beer to drink, is pleasant and quite drinkable. As a style, it is a non entity. Not quite a Berliner Weisse, not really a Saison and certainly not yet a typical Belgian Ale in any style. Perhaps doing the same recipe, leaving it on the Lactobacilli longer, or throwing in some Brettanomyces would get closer towards a Lambic. BJCP 7/3/13/4/6

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Falling Rock Tap House, served in a tulip. Nice big pour. Pours a hazy, pale yellow-gold with an inch or so of white head. Notes of wheat, grass, pineapple, lacto, dough, straw, lemongrass, and a little splash of lemon juice. Light-bodied, with a husky, tart mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice beer. Hit the spot.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. Pour is lightly hazy golden with a big white head and good lacing. Wheaty, lactic, slightly grassy, bready, citric acid, lemon peels, light pepper, and minerally aroma. Taste is big wheat, lacto, lemons, straw, dough, lightly spicy, a touch tart, leaves, and hay with a light spciy/crisp bite on the back-end. Light body with crisp carbonation. Very delicate beer, almost like a cross between a berliner and a saison. Tasty stuff.
