This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity and luck. In the summer of 2013 we took a test batch of our sessional sour summer ale, Provincial, that didn’t quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries. The end result was so delicious, we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart fruit beer is refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtlety sweet and tart finish. Notes of lemon zest and tart raspberries.

A real winner, more for its fruityness than its sourness. Really understated, mild sourness that lingers. The raspberry is a home run. Sweet and aggressive. A perfect summer beer.

Bottle 750ml. Pours hazy salmond with almost no head (would be pink). Aroma is of raspberies, strawberries. Taste is of raspberries, some acidity, fruit juice. Palate: Light body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Very nice, not cloying. Fruity, sassy.

Bottle shared by Mindahbindah, thanks man! Pours a cloudy pink with a thin white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of raspberries, real ones, up to the hairs. Taste is of raspberry juice and moderately tart. Body is light, carbonation high and mouthfeel a bit thin. Mighty refreshing, though and never cloying. Overall a really nice fruited berliner, almost as good as our own Solstice d’Été.

Draft 10 oz pour at the Falling Rock. I actually ended up with a bottle of this as well from my trip so I get to rate this twice! I’ll just rate my draft experience from notes, and hold the bottle for a few. Pours a glowing pink color with a pink foam ring head. I’ve mentioned in previous ratings how cool pink beer has become. No exception here. Huge tart fresh berry aroma. Flavor is heavy on ruby red grapefruit, maybe even more so than raspberry. Very tart. Delicious.

Bottle, brought by John to Ale Alpharetta. Cloudy, kool-aid pink, with no real head. Light berry up front, grain, and white bread. Sweet and fruity, with just a touch of acidic tartness. Light to medium body, silky, and smooth. This is a solid, fruity, and fairly dry beer.

Pours reddish apricot with a thin eggshell head. Fresh malt aroma has a definite note of raspberry and hints of other fruit. Raspberry is the Prima Donna of the flavor, but it gladly shares the stage with malty and other fruit notes plus a snip of hops. Mouthfeel presents thin body but good fizz. Get funky with raspberries!

On tap @ Funkwerks. Milky pink colored beer with white foam. Sort of a mix of raspberry and sort of a funky guava note, too. A lot of tropical fruits, in fact. Mildly spicy and grassy. Sort of a grapefruit zest quality, too. Pretty damn good.
