This delicious creation was truly a product of creativity, ingenuity, and luck. Last summer, we took a test batch of our Berliner Weisse style summer ale, Provincial, that didnít quite hit gravity, and decided to have some fun with it! We added a heavy dose of raspberries in this sessionable, refreshingly tart beer. The end result was so delicious we decided to recreate it! This delightfully tart beer is stimulating and refreshing, with a citrusy raspberry aroma which transitions to a subtly sweet and tart finish.

Tap. Hazy raspberry win a thin pink white head that laces. Aromas of raspberry, tart fruit and some earthy notes. Flavor is the same with a dry finish. Light bodied.

Pretty gosh darn acidic, not quite up there with Upland but still pretty amazing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I didnít get much berliner from this one. Just barely a hint of tart, sweet raspberries, overbearing fruity yeast with a heavier body. Wasnít off, just wasnít a tart lightl beer.

Pours a cloudy pink into the glass, with a light head that reduces to sparse webbed lacing. The nose is of sour citrus and unripened berries. Flavors are huge of grapefruit, lactobacillus, light brett and sour raspberries. Sour through and through, light in the mouth with appropriate carbonation, this is a very nice example of the Berliner style, which is not an easy, nor widespread style to find. Great job again Funksters!

A delicious tart, raspberry beer perfect for summer. Compares well to Belgiums but with more lemon. But the raspberry is prominent from nose and eyes to the pallet. Finishes with a bit of tannin which begs for another sip.

I had a raspberry fruit beer later in the day, and compared to that, this was not a fruit-forward beer but a sour-forward beer, so I disagree with the previous rater who thought it shouldnít be classified as a Berliner Weisse. Wonderful color--like grapefruit juice, pink and blood orange. Good sour, tart attack, with the raspberry shining through in the finish. Not a strong flavor; requires some sitting and sipping. On tap at brewery.

Nice looking cloudy pink pour with a white head. Earthy raspberry nose. Very mild tartness, more focused on fruity raspberry. Mild sweetness with Belgian yeast. This is a fruit beer, not a Berliner.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a hazy pink ruby with large frothy pink head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong raspberry, funk, lemon, champagne. Thin mouth, tart berry, yeast, crisp, light dryness, champagne like, good.

Pours a bright pink body, head is 2/3rd of an inch and has a white head with a pinkish hue. Head retention and lacing were outstanding, this was one of the most attractive looking beers I can remember. Smell is of raspberries and tart lemon. Reminds me of a Lemon berry slushy from Sonic. Tart yeast is also present. Malt. alcohol and hops arenít detected. Taste is of sweet. slightly tart raspberries and sour yeast. Light sweet malt is also present. Hops and alcohol arenít there. This beer is all about the fruit. Mouthfeel is very light and refreshing. Carbonation levels were high and head retention added some nice froth to the body. Beer ends with a slight puckering finish. Overall this was a very good light bodied, fruit sour ale. No artificial flavors, syrupy bodies you find in some fruit beers. Visually, one of the best beers iíve seen, looking forward to buying more.

On tap poured a milky ruby pink hue w/ small white fully diminishing head. Moderate fruity aromas. Initial flavor is light sweet w/ a moderate tart finish. Tastes are raspberries and sweet tarts. Medium bodied lively carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red color. Raspberry aroma and flavor, quite bit of berry flavor but not really sour at all; some light wheat. Decent fruit beer but I donít know about calling it a Berliner.
