From notes. Tasted at a tasting at Curtis’s old house, probably around early 2012, from a 750mL bottle. Pours clear, bright yellow/orange with a thick white head that slowly recedes to average, sticky lace. The nose is spicy saison yeast with a hint of sweet banana and a touch of green hops. The flavor is is more or less the same with a very pleasant hops and spicy saison yeast bitterness, very easy to drink. The body is just under medium with lively carbonation and a spicy yeast and nicely bitter finish.

A-Bread, pepper, with a significant funky yeast aroma. A- hazy golden hue, big pillowy head that holds for a long time with nice lacing. T- biscuity, bread, pepper, and citrus. P-very lively body. Has a very pleasant mouthfeel and dry pop on the finish really highlighted by the carbonation. O-A very enjoyable saison with nice barnyard aromas and flavor. The Pepery dryness haswonderful popping citrus notes. One of my favorite saisons in quite some time.

10 karat murky pour with a huge ivory cap that left significant lacing. Yeasty, peppery, lemony, funky, fruity, and bready. Nothing unique that separates this from others in the style but a decent example.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled at Perennial’s Midwest Belgian Beer Festival - Pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has spiciness, fruits, earthy yeast and lightly toasted malt. It has a medium / light body that is very crisp and has moderate carbonation. The flavor starts with saison yeast, nectar fruits and bugginess. The finish is fairly sharp, husky and cottony. Pretty nice.
