The beer you are holding is unique. A special strain of yeast and a warm fermentation produces a beer of exceptional flavor and aroma. An extended secondary maturation and bottle conditioning ensures all these unique qualities are preserved and evolve over time. Serve at 50°F in a tulip glass.

What to expect
This tawny orange beer pours with a rocky white head. Aromas of passion fruit, tangerine, and black pepper hit the nose. Flavor is a cascade of orange, lemon verbena, ginger and pepper. And in a second it is gone, finishing with a dry and lingering bitterness that awaits another sip.

SHIG (4045) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - JUN 14, 2015
Bottle thanks to arminjewell, shared at Anchorage tasting June ’15: Popped the top and this came alive, gushing carbonation. Poured hazy yellow with white head. Aroma was barnyard funk. Taste is funky, citrus fruit, and apple. This was bottled in Jul ’13, even though I enjoyed it might have spent a little to long in my cellar.

Bottle. Hazy yellow. Aroma is floral, light pepper, a bit of farmy funk. Flavor is dusty, pepper and pith with a bit of peach juice. Feel is silty and moderately lively. Nice and easy though without much that stands out.

From a small bottle from a dipshit. Pours a cloudy golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma of lemon zest, little peppery, soap and light malt. Taste of lemons, slight tartness, soap, and muted wheat. Dry, souring finish. Light body. Okay beer. Not great, not bad. Would chug again.

one of the best American-made Saisons I’ve ever had. Bright, dry, aromatic notes of lemon zest and flowery black pepper, with a fruity freshness that makes the entire experience very mouth watering.

Translucent, cloudy yellow/green with a substantially sized frothy head. Impressive retention. Pleasant sweet pastry malt, floral, citrus, and mildly hoppy aroma. Extremely light bodied, akin to a cloud. Smooth combination of flavours consisting of tart citrus, flowers, pastry like malt, and mild hops. Finish is slightly tart. Although the flavours aren’t extremely robust, this beer is quite refreshing and a delight to sip on.
