Originally designed to be a hoppier version of our flagship Saison, the accidental (but fortuitous) addition of two extra bags of Munich malt balanced the hop bitterness leaving us this very unique Imperial Saison. Tropical fruit flavors coming from the unique New Zealand hop variety, Rakau. Notes of passion fruit, mango, peach, pepper and ginger.

Tap at Falling Rock, Denver. Bright orange color. Thin, white lacing head. Great aroma, yeast, passion fruit, mango, a little pineapple. Flavor has fresh. Fruity hops with some sweet wheat. I believe this is a sweetened saison that appears to rely heavily on the flavor and aroma from the hops. Very good.

Very nice combination of malt and sour. Definitely a summer go to .... A hazy golden amber with a white head and lacings. The aroma is floral and sour as the flavor has a twang without being overbearing. The finish is crisp. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This beer is cloudy gold with a spiced aroma and mild lemon flavor paires with scallops with ginger pea puree and cilantro gremolata. This really brought out the lemon in the flavor.

A decent saison, nothing special. Pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a white head. Smells of tropical fruit and Orange creme. Taste starts quite fruity, then has a dry saison finish. Paired with ginger and pea scallops, brings out a lot of earthiness and more of the peas. Had in the bottle.

An interesting saison overall. Pours a cloudy orange with a soapy white head. Smells of pear, peach, and apple with saison undertones. Taste is dry with lots of peace and apple, with a herby background. Had in the bottle.

The idea of an imperial saison is kind of stupid (hey, let’s take a saison and ruin everything great about it!) but this is a damn good Belgian strong ale. It’s an orange, cloudy brew w/ a foamy head. It’s nose is quite fruity w/ lots of pineapple especially but a little sweetness brings out a strong banana note when you taste it. This is light on the palate but quite creamy with solid earthy bitterness in the finish. This brewery really does some great work and this is one of their better ones.

Bottle at the Lincoln wine bar. A lovely beer. Fluffy white head on light gold pour. Delicate yeast flavors with light fruits, mostly peach. Peppery finish.

From 12oz bottle to tulip glass. Pour is a light yellow, thin fizzy head. Nose is tropical fruit, resin, ginger. Taste is kind of a battle of sweet and sour, light bodied. Finishes fizzy and lingers.
