Tap. Hazy straw color with a thin, bubbly white head that laces. Aromas of citrus, lemon , light grain and spice. Flavor is the same with some ginger. Light bodied, dry finish.

A very nice white, but not funkwerks best offering. Hazy golden with a thick head and nice mouthfeel. Citrus and wheat.

On tap at the source (GABF weekend) - Hazed yellow pour with minimal white head. Smell is light fruity yeast, citrus, spice. Taste is lemony, spice, yeast, bready. Nice white brew with just a bit more flavor and pop than the standard. Would kill this in warm weather.

At Funkwerks! Pours light gold thin head. Aroma is yeast, Belgium fruit, air. Taste is clean slightly funky, balanced yeast is good, slight Belgium flavor but balanced enough to still be very nice.

Draft at the source, says 5.1%abv, pours hazed gold with white head. Aroma has lots of white pepper, coriander, funky yeast. Flavors have a brett character, wheat malt presence, lots of white pepper, some coriander and chamomile, firm bitterness, I’m enjoying the yeast profile. Slightly tart lemon and orange citrus finish. Great stuff.

On tap at Funkwerks. Yellow and hazy with a frothy white head and light lacing. Wheat malts, citrus fruits, spices and hay make up the aroma. Similar flavor, zesty, crisp and dry with black pepper. Light to medium body with a soft smooth feel. Refreshing stuff.

750ml bottle, blue label. Pours a hazy straw led with some cloudy white head. Nose of grass, coriander, lemon peel, yeast, otherwise clean. Sweet, malty, grassy, light lemon, light bread, some pepper. Light, dry finish. Standard.

I’ve been apprehensive about trying this since they jacked up the abv with the recipe change and, IMO, their products tend to suffer when they do this - for example, the Tropic King suffered a significant decline when it went from 7% to 8% (I really need to Rerate that beer) - anyway - this one pours awfully fizzy - looks over carbonated - head dissipates almost completely, despite the constant effervescing on the surface of the beer - nose is quite sweet, with soft wheat malt notes, strong lemon, ginger and other spices, a bit of a mineral note underneath - definitely over carbonated - lots of abrasive bubbles filling the mouth - flavor is medium dry - a lot of tangy citrus flavors - chamomile is still pretty evident, like the original - some ginger and peppery spice on the tail end - alcohol is far too evident in the finish - not at all refreshing, as the original was - some redeeming qualities, but overall it is a bit harsh on the palate - yup, it is as I feared - they should have stuck with the original recipe.
