Brewed and aged for the First Annual Founders Club Party.
Barrel-Aged Muy Bonita is an Imperial version of our Bonita Applebum Apple Pie Brown Ale thatís been aged in Apple Brandy barrels for three months. We use real cinnamon, vanilla, and apples to give it an insane apple pie flavor, while the barrel aging lends soft oak flavors and a pleasant liqueur-like finish.

Bottle shared at tasting. Incredibly awful fecal nose. Really nasty stuff. But the taste is sweet apple and cinnamon. Weird experience. My rating reflects that awful nose, not taste.

Draft @ World of Beer Dadeland. Pours dark brown color with tan head. Aromas of cinnamon and apples with roasted malts and brandy. Lots of cinnamon flavor with brandy, wood, vanilla and matiness. Medium body with average carbonation.

4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a watery, translucent black with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose is so crazy, apple compote, cinnamon, brown sugar, mild vanilla, malt, pie dough. Smells really good. Flavor is a little sweet, apple compote, malt, brown sugar, mild molasses, cinnamon, vanilla, mild clove. Oily finish. Really good.

Bottle. Pours a nice brown with a nice tan had. Smell is all apple and cinnamon. Pretty much apple pie. Taste is more of the same. Apples, cinnamon, a lot of brandy. Itís pretty much like eating an awesome apple pie. Pretty goddamn good.

Amber pour without much head or lacing. Much more of the apple brandy barrel than any sort of brown ale. The brandy seems to just add to the apple pie aroma already there. Tap at Churchkey shared by Ed.

Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Thanks Travlr! Thanks Gene! Poured a clear ruby color without a head to speak of. Aroma was apple brandy, vanilla, woody. Flavor was light apple brandy, vanilla notes. Alcohol actually pretty smooth and not overpowering in this one.

On draft at Churchkey during DC Beer Week. Pours a clear dark cola brown with a tan head. Aroma of chocolate after dinner mints. Flavors of apple strudel with chocolate mint ice cream. Intriguing and tasty.

Aroma is foul and sulfury, rank, with some light booze and spice notes. Translucent brown color. Flavor is so much better...toffee, caramel, spices - cinnamon, light apple notes, bready, sweet.

Bottle. Fucking horrible baby diaper nose. Thankfully the taste is much better. Cocoa and chocolate. Meh.
