COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat beer, vibrant purple in color from the 30 pounds of blueberry we added per barrel. Brewed with cinnimon and Madagascar vannila beans and completely unfiltered. Blueberry Cobbler beer...just like your mom used to make.

12oz bottle to snifter. Darker amber pour with maybe a bit of pinkish purplish hue. Aroma of a boring wheat beer with a splash of vanilla. Nice cinnamon and vanilla thing going on, but as many fruit beers go, most of it ferments out and it’s left with a fruit flavor but not specifically blueberry.

Bottle - thanks Homer! pours clear burnt umber with a small head that leaves a ring and some lacing. Aroma is cinnamon and vanilla, remarkably like the crumbles in a cobbler actually. Flavor is the same, a tad artificial, but really a lot like a fruit cobbler. Blueberry per se is a bit hard to get, perhaps. Light plus sweet with a hint of tartness, very light bitterness, but some astringence. Odd heat given the low ABV. Medium body, a bit of a metallic finish. A great effort at reproducing the original, but in the end not really my thing.

12 oz bottle. Nice purple tone, but the blueberries were tart (not desert-like) and were overcome by the vanilla and cinnamon. Great for a wheat beer, but didn’t quite deliver on the cobbler...

Pours hazy dark orange with a purplish hue and a off white head. Head retention is ok. AROMA: cinnamon rolls, spice, blueberry bagel, molasses, light citrus, herbs, floral hops, peppermint car freshener, raisin, slight ginger, tangerines, powdered sugar and glazed doughnut. TASTE: blueberry, cinnamon roll, bread, spice, citrus, tangerines, orange, molasses, ginger, sugar, doughnut glaze, light herbal hops, raisin, peppermint car air freshener, metallic and light peppercorn. AFTER TASTE: cinnamon, blueberry, citrus and herbs with a slight watery medium bodied finish.

I think the aroma may be the best part here. Near spot on with the spices and smells of freshly baked blueberry cobbler. The flavor is where things start to get interesting. Those same spices can be tasted up front, but the finish is quite tart and sour. I was expecting a heavier bodied ale...possibly unfiltered a bit, but this has a clearish light amber appearance. Glad that I finally got to try, but didn’t quite fall in love with this beer....especially for the price.

4 pack bottle. Blueberry immediately on the palate but very tart on the body no follow up throughout. It’s a good beer but not worth the price for the 4 pack.

My Bottom Line:
Apple and blueberry pie aromas abound, while caramel attempts to balance out the nutmeg and cinnamon finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam surrounds the misty pale red.
-The finish is very long.
-Oats are imagined throughout.
-Funny how the blueberry notes come out as apple juice to me.
-This is as well made as any other Funky Buddha brew I’ve had from the new Oakland Park plant. However, it is intense and may become too much to handle quickly if you are not in the mood for spiciness and dessert.

On tap at Kush.

Pours red-amber in color with a small white head. Aroma is blueberry cobbler with cinnamon and brown sugar. Taste is a little lighter than I was expecting from the aroma. The blueberry/cinnamon flavors are there with some acidity for the finish. Hmm.

Draft @ Kush. Amber, no head. Aroma is strongly cinnamon, light blueberry, and a fairly sweet finish. Ok, a bit weird and tart.
