On tap at the brewery. Huge peanut butter cup nose. Wow, smells delicious. Murky brown pour with an off white head. Huge peanut notes with mild roasted malts and mellow milk chocolate undercurrents. Average body and mouthfeel.

On tap at the brewery, pours a dark black pour with a nice java head. Nose is all Reece’s Peanut Butter Cup , chocolate and peanut butter. Taste is deep chocolate and peanut butter, like a Reece’s Peanut Butter melted in a cup. Thick pour and quite tasteful. Finish is sweet and ends on the same tasting notes. Interesting and enjoyable. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Served on-tap at the Blue Dog. Reviewed from notes.
A - Pours pitch black with a small half finger tall tan head leaving spotty lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of intense peanut butter, milk chocolate, vanilla, toffee, caramel and mildly toasted grains. The PB is super strong, one of the strongest PB aromas I have come across.
T - Starts off with in intense combo of rich chunky peanut butter and warm milk chocolate. Hints of caramel, toffee, vanilla and a bit of grain help round things out but this one is dominated by the Chocolate and PB. Finish is sweet but not overpowering, lingering on the palate long after the finish.
M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth feel from start to finish with tons of flavor. Goes a touch thin toward the end of the glass.
O - One of the best PB beers I have had. The flavors blend extremely well together and it is pretty easy to drink, it only really started to wear on me toward the end of the glass. Glad I made the drive down to try these.

Wow, this is right up my wheeellllhouuusssseee!!!!! I can’t believe it! The aroma is perfect, tons of peanut butter to the dome. The peanut butter and chocolate in the nose is so pleasant, what else could you want!? Pours unclear dark amber. Flavors are chocolate and peanut butter powder blended so well leaving pleasant sweetness lasting well on the nose.

On tap at blue dog with alen, joe, and bill. Pours a pitch black with light off white head. Aromas are heavy chunky jiff peanut butter, malt, and dark chocolate. Reminded me of the no crust in the nose.Taste is vanilla, malt, skippy. chocolate malts. Finishes real smooth. World class.

Hazy nut brown. Peanutty, chocolatey aroma. A little bit thin, leaving little body but having an interesting flavour profile based on whatever it is they are using to make it really peanutty. Not especially well put together.

Draft… This beer rocks!… Pours dark brown (nearly black) with a small, creamy, off-white head. Smells a lot like FB No Crusts, but with the fruity component replaced by a fantastic chocolate dynamic derived from the base brown ale and cacao nibs. Is it even necessary for me to mention that the aroma is roasted-peanut forward? Smells eerily like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup, but the power of suggestion may be hard at work here. Medium to full-bodied and mildly creamy with tickling carbonation. The flavor is a fantastic meshing of salty peanut butter and chocolaty brown ale playing quite nicely with an understated cacao nib element. Finishes peanut buttery and chocolaty with only a pinch of salt. On tap, Funky Buddha’s beers now have the perfect amount of carbonation. This was something they were constantly pulling up short on during the early days. World class beer brewed by a world class brewery employing world class people!

Draft at brewpub. Murky brown. Aroma really brings back memories of childhood. Impacted, compacted Reece peanut butter cups. I get more pb than choc in the aroma but the flavors are more the full cup. The palate is oily, as if they are really recreating the candy experience. Lingering milk chocolate candy finish. Cute.
