4 oz sampler draft at the brewpub in Boca Raton, Florida. The pour is a hazed yellow, with a smallish white head. The aroma is clove yeast, fresh natural wheat, a bit of bubblegum. The taste is a nice blend of wheat, clove yeast, lemon citric and only a hint of the bubblegum. The palate is light to medium bodied, nice unfiltered mouth feel, and a crisp citrus finish. Nice.

Bottle. Pours apricot gold with white head. Nose and taste of pureed banana with peel, honey, florals, wheat malt, orange peel, orange blossom and light clove. Medium body.

Cloudy golden orange pour with a white head. Really nice banana and clove aromas. A slight citric tartness of orange and lemon. Lots of bread and a good malt sweetness. There’s plenty of banana and clove to the flavor, too. Works well with the sweet bready malt and a subtle citrus note. Nice yeast bite on the finish, too.

On tap at Monks, pours a glowing golden orange color, nice bright white head medium in size but not lasting. Not enough lace to note. Aromas and taste of sugary honey, kolsch flavors, not ultra yeasty, peppermint, cloves, and some other belgian spice. Thought it would be dryer but it wasn’t. Not my style at all. Refreshing though.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a yellow golden with surprisingly little head. Nice wild tropical aroma. Mouthfeel is pretty light for a hefe with little carbonation. Doesn't have that wheat heft to it. Fast is very floral, like drinking a lager with bubblegum and passion fruit juice mixed in. Overall a different take on a hefe but very good flavor. If they could get this like a normal hefe but with the same flavor, it would be world class. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at the brewery, hazy golden pour with tropical fruit nose. Tastes of orange blossom, banana, malt, spices, sour wheat, yeast, and vanilla. Lively body and refreshing at 130am on a Monday night

Keg. Bananas and cloves, lemon zest with a stronger tartness than typical for hefeweizens, citrus fruits. Incredibly refreshing. Thrilled this is rumored to be Funky Buddha’s staple beer when they start bottling.
