“August in Florida is God’s way of reminding us who’s in charge.” ― Blaize Clement

Unfiltered and refreshing, our German-style wheat beer is full on flavor yet light on the palate. Authentic hefeweizen yeast creates the compelling aromas of bananas, citrus, and cloves, while the all wheat and malt body perfectly captures the brilliance of an orange- and yellow-flecked Florida sunset.

Pairing Suggestions: Mild or sharp goat cheeses, arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette, grilled shrimp, beer-battered onion rings with spicy aioli, whole wheat crust pizza, honey-drizzled baklava.

Keg. Bananas and cloves, lemon zest with a stronger tartness than typical for hefeweizens, citrus fruits. Incredibly refreshing. Thrilled this is rumored to be Funky Buddha’s staple beer when they start bottling.

Murky yellow beer with a frothy, white head. Aromas of tropical fruit and wheat. Tastes of bananas, oranges, and slight pineapple notes. Very citric with a nice, fresh wheat balance to the flavors. Sweet, semi-tart, fruit finish. Refreshing, tasty, but a tad forgettable.

4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a murky, dandelion gold with some creamy white head. Nose is fruity, tropical fruit, pear, mildly grassy, a little talcum. Flavor is sweet, a little buttery, mild biscuit, mild grass, a little floral. Creamy finish. Decent.

Pours cloudy golden with ok head and lacing. Not sure I like the helles addition to this. Finishes with light sweetness, light sourness. Some light banana and some bread yeast. Tap at Churchkey shared by Travlr, thanks!

Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy pale yellow color. Aroma of white pepper, dusty lemon. Taste is citrus, light spice, subtle banana. Easy drinking.

Typical cloudy appearance but not as strong of a banana/clove/bubblegum scent or flavor as found in a Bavarian style hefe. I guess that is what makes it a FL style; more citrusy. This could be good or bad depending which style you prefer. Quality/flavor was consistent amongst the actual brewery draft and retail taps.

Pours a cloudy light orange. Notes of citrus, banana and a hint of clove. Somewhat sweet. A quality hefe, but nothing earth shattering

Hazy gold, white head, banana, citrus and clove. Shocking for a hefe! But why mess with what works?

On tap at the Churchville Inn. Hazy orange brown with scant froth. Nose is wheat and faint citrus. Medium light with a tang. Taste is wheaty banana, clove and orange zest. Mostly a straight up hefe; just OK.
