COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Picture custardy French toast, infused with cinnamon and vanilla, fresh from the griddle and drizzled with warm maple syrup. Now picture that in a glass. Boom. Mind blown.

I donít really know how to rate this beer. Itís literally unlike anything Iíve ever had before, which is good, because if this was in mass production Iím pretty sure the beer nerds of the world would turn on it and compare it to "Bud Light Lime-a-Rita". The crazy thing about this beer is how closely it mimics French toast. It doesnít taste like a brown ale; it tastes exactly like a buttery slice of maple syrup-laden French toast, so much so that I can only assume that Funky Buddha either has a molecular gastronomy chef on staff or theyíre actual wizards. More unique than a purple lobster listening to the Garden State soundtrack.

Bottle shared at Jasonís. Pretty intoxicating mimicry of french toast. Cinnamon, maple. Very tasty.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Pours dark brown with dense beige head. Toffee, caramel, dark fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, bit roasty. Sweet. Low carbonation, medium+ bodied. Loved it.

Bottle from Homer321 not exactly my type of thing but certainly can appreciate. Really smells like mamas French toast which I do enjoy. Tastes of toffee, vanilla, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lactose. Sweet but not in the way I feared. Some alcohol presence and sugary aftertaste.

In a recent discussion, I said that itís one thing that FB can succesfully create these flavors. But its an entirely different thing to make a beer people want to drink. This is yet another example. I should know better than to keep buying these concoctions. Yes, it smells and tastes like french toast. Not just the cinnamon and maple, but that eggy bread part is there too. But its sweet, heavy, doesnít taste much like beer except for the warmth of some alcohol. After about 3 -4 for curiosity, I was done. I canít say it tasted bad, but I canít say I really liked it either.

Pours a dark brown with a short khaki head. Maple syrup and root beer nose. Soft mouthfeel with a very mild cutting carbonation. Maple syrup and just a touch egginess in the flavor. Some root beer as well.

Tap. Pours deep, dark brown. Aroma is maple syrup, cinnamon, light roast, light chocolate, and some toasted and nutty notes. Flavor is rich chocolate and maple syrup, cinnamon, bready and toasted malts, and some faint nuttiness. Medium/full body.

22oz bottle. Pours black with a generous beige head. Aroma is heavily cinnamon, just like french toast. Sweet with vanilla and lots of cinnamon flavor. Medium bodied with lingering cinnamon on the palate. This is crazy good.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear brown pour with a thick beige head. Aroma of maple, cinnamon and malt. Cinnamon, maple and caramel flavor with a slightly roasty finish. Excellent.

Tap @ Mikkeller and Friends. Pours clear reddish dark brown with a big fluffy offwhite head. Aromas of insane maple, toffee, fudge, cocoa, dark fruits, nuts, cinnamon, vanilla. Wow! Taste has maple, toffee, dark fruits, some bitter fruits, citrus, nuts, cinnamon, vanilla. Not as good as the aroma but still insanely delicious.
