COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Picture custardy French toast, infused with cinnamon and vanilla, fresh from the griddle and drizzled with warm maple syrup. Now picture that in a glass. Boom. Mind blown.

Crowler: The aroma consists of moderate maple syrup, light cinnamon, light vanilla, and a hint of nuts. It’s a dark brown with some orange transparency and a small off-white head that quickly fades to a minimal film outlined by a very fine ring. The flavor starts with moderate maple syrup and a hint of caramel. The finish has light cinnamon, vanilla, and a hint of nuts. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.

Crowler thanks to Jason. Aroma is pretty much French toast. Maple syrup, custard, cinnamon, and biscuits. Tastes the same. Mildly sweet. Pretty thin. Overall, they nailed the aroma and taste but it’s just way too thin to love it that much.

From tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Almost clear brown color with off white head. Malty aroma, caramel, spicy, cinnamon, vanilla, cake, honey. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ BVery’s. Brown pour with a tight tan head. Very sweet nose. Plenty of caramel. Soft cinnamon toast crunch. Mild spice. Apple cider donuts. Flavor has more slightly bitter spiciness from the cinnamon. Mild woody heat. Plenty of toffee. Chewy malts. Rich, but somewhat dry on the finish. Full body, soft carb.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden, London. A hazy dark brown coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Sweet, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup aroma. Tastes similar, sweet, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup. French toast in a glass, a novelty but I really liked it. Nice one.

Keg at Route CBC, CBC Clapham, 02/10/15. Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is maple syrup, cinammon, spice, charr, chocolate, toffee. Taste comprises chocolate, dark fruit rinds, maple syrup, light spice, trace of coffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Fairly light and airy for the ABV, solid for style.

Keg at Route CBC. Very dark brown, still, small foamy brown head. Aroma is minty, cinnamon, chocolate, touches of ginger and coconut. A strange mix. Body is medium to light, soft carbonation, smooth. Taste is ginger, mint, cinnamon, loads of peppery spice. Over-spiced and too light a body for me. Just OK.

Draft... This beer rocks!… Pours clear and dark brown with a small, fizzy, beige head. The aroma features a huge component of maple syrup, accompanied by toastiness, nuttiness, cinnamon, vanilla and caramel. Full-bodied with lazy carbonation. The flavor is toasty and roasty with big-time maple flavor. Nuts and minerals in the finish. Annother world-class beer from Funky Buddha! They’re not as abundant as they used to be, but The Buddha does deliver some rock-solid offerings.

Tap at Route CBC, London. Looks a dark brown. Little head. Malty aroma, definitely some cinnamon spice. Taste improves on it a notch. Nutty maltiness with more spice. Carbonated a bit too much for me. Pretty nice stuff though.

Tap at Route CBC. It pours hazy darkest brown with a small off-white head. The nose is sweet, sticky, creamy, cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, vanilla and light umami. The taste is sweet, sticky, oily, chocolate, umami/marmite, spicy, cinnamon, light alcohol warmth, lightly charred wood, earth and some creaminess. Medium body and fine carbonation. Definite French Toast mission accomplished. A bit one-dimensional, but enjoyable anyhow.
