COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Sometimes you want to drink an IPA that will melt your teeth, and sometimes you want balance. We went for balance here. Although we continuously hopped this beer for an hour and the IBU’s are nearly 90, we leveled it out with a healthy does of Marris Otter and caramel malts.

4 oz sampler draft at the brewpub in Boca Raton, Florida. The pour is a clear golden copper with a smallish off white head. The aroma is big dank resin, along with some floral hops. Super fresh and clean nose. The taste is crazy fresh, the big resin, well formed dank character, light lingering resin, and a nice balance with toasted malt. The palate is medium bodied with nice soft natural carbonation. Super fresh and tasty.

Tap at Funky Buddha. Pours a thick medium brown, slightly amber color with significant haze. Medium brown head with very nice lacing. Aroma is strong hops with some roasted colors and possible leather notes. The taste is heavy with hops, slightly floral, very malty (for an IPA) and earthy. There’s a slight "funk" to the beer but I like it. The finish is fairly bitter with malt flavors. Overall a very good IPA.

On tap at Monks, pours a murky copper brown, with thick medium white head. Bunch of lacing. Aromas of Taste are malty, tons of sweet crystal and caramel malts, does have a nice hop bite at the finish, pine, pineapple, orange and caramel notes. Kind of oily on the palate with a bitter rye like finish. Medium to fuller body.

A nice IPA. Pour is clear amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma is mainly citrus and grassy hops with grapefruit coming to mind. Some light pine tree notes, as well, with a sweetness in the nose. The flavors are generally citrusy and caramel malt balanced nicely with a not-overly-bitter finish. Good stuff.

Tap at Funky Buddha. It pours clear deep amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is leather, wood, caramel and brown bread. The taste is caramel malt, leather, grass, resin, burnt tire, toast and warming alcohol, with a long bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent, but a bit too malty.
