Nocturne (833) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2014
Sample at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014. Darkest brown with a sizeable head. Bold coffee up front with burnt malty breadiness. Bit heavy on the coffee for me personally. Elements start to coalesce but it’s still difficult to decipher. I pick out coconut once or twice. Intriguing but I’m not feeling this one so much.

Cooolt! Godis, kakor och kokos i både doft och smak. Visst inslag av sololja. Kommer av någon anledning att tänka på bruna ting. Tap på CBC-14

A brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, vanilla, and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of vanilla, coconut, coffee, and roasted malt, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Growler via trade w/alex4r! Don’t hesitate with this guy! Assertive aroma that absolutely fills the room with white chocolate, fudge, brownie batter, coconut, vanilla, hints of coffee, and toasted cashews. Flavor is a bit sweeter than I would have liked, but just barely. Incredibly complex given the ABV. Slightly charred coconut, raw coconut, and sugar-dusted coconut. Milk chocolate and honey-sweetened citrus accompanied by molasses, roasted Kona beans, and biscuit. Incredible.

Draft at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2014, Session 1. Pours clear, dark brown with a frothy, tan head. Rich coffee on character pervades. Some moderate bitter chocolate, earth. Hints of creamy caramel and oily coconut. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more rich coffee, some caramel sauce. Lovely, sweet and tasty.

Tap offering @ lord hobo. Rew looks just fine with a chill light brown head. Aroma of big potent coconut, almond joy, toasted marshmallows. Graham crackers. Best use of coconut I’ve ever Petered. Most beers with goofy chocolate and coconut additions tend to be @ gross in my experience, but white chocolate and coconut in this beer were represented about at clean and invitingly as possible. Chill cream milk chocolate coffee and roast provide a fun base. Surprisingly dry. Much more drinkable than expected. Nose is quite inviting, but in the end a touch too much hazelnut flavored coffee is offered. Quite hard to pull off these goofy additive beers, but this funky boost a brewery does better than most it would seem. 12 oz pour. 6- 8 oz or so would be nice size for this where I’m @. enjoyable at first, but too much sweet vanilla hazelnut coconut as warms.
