On tap at Funky Buddha Oakland Park. Pours blak with a brown head and strong, nice, pleasant aroma of chocolate and coconut. Taste is similar, very smooth and drinkable, lots of coconut and chocolate with coffee in the roasty finish. Excellent porter, very tasty

Not a huge coconut fan but this is by far the best coconut beer I’ve had. Deep dark pour, coconut dominates the aroma and the taste. Sweet but a good balance with the dark malts.

On tap at Oakland Park, pours a dark black pour with a nice head. Nose is chocolate , coconut and coffee, and pleasant and sweet. Taste is up front coconut with coffee and espresso. Finishes is long on the coconut end and sweet. An extreme beer for sure. Quaff Score 7 / 20

Holy shit does this beer smell amazing, like some kind of godly coconut cream coffee pie in liquid form waiting to smash down my face. Really just impressive stuff, though the taste suffers a bit from being too samey, not having a lot of unique qualities and being sort of tiresome after the first glass. On draft at Hunahpu day, an excellent selection to represent this fantastic brewer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Served on-tap at the Blue Dog. Reviewed from notes.
A - Pours pitch black with a small half finger tall tan head leaving spotty lace down parts of the glass.
S - Smells of strong coconut, fresh coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla and dark roast. A very intoxicating nose.
T - Starts off with a huge fresh shaved coconut flavor that never really fades away. Hints of chocolate, vanilla, coffee, dark roast and a touch of toffee. Finish is sweet, mostly coconut and chocolate, not lingering on the palate for very long after the finish.
M - Heavy body with moderate carbonation. Smooth feel from start to finish with tons of flavor. Goes a touch thin toward the end of the glass.
O - An excellent porter, spot on for the description. The flavors work extremely well together and make it incredibly easy to drink. Second best Funky Buddha beer I have had, only behind the Maple Bacon.
