So excited I got to try this again after we had it at the bar for CBC and we were so slammed I didnít even get a whiff. Thanks to Derek/Tom for sharing with the bartenders and myself! Black pour, small tan head. Nose/flavor is absolutely adjunct foward, with coconut macaroon, sweet chocolate ganache, marzipan, milk chocolate, and big unroasted espresso. Not complex, but gorgeous in those two or three integral characteristics. Damn. Yes please.

Outstanding aroma of chocolate and coconut. Bitter chocolate mixes well with the roast coffee and coconut flavors too. Wow the coconut follows every part of the swallow. Truly well done.

Intense aroma of macaroons. Chocolate covered toasted coconut for days. If youre going to use coconut go totally nuts like this. Not sure if this is extracts or the real deal but its realllllly coconutty. Dont be a bitch about the coconut.

Poursjet black with a creamy tanned lacing head. Lots of espresso coffee chocolate. Not so heavy in body some sweetness and roasted malts too. Excellent stuff.

not as good as something like Nib Smuggler, but still a really good beer all the same.

Tap at brewery. Pours deep, dark brown with creamy off-white head. Aroma is roasted malts, fresh brewed coffee, light fig, light ash, and faint earthiness. Flavor is a smooth blend of roast malts, chocolate, and coffee balanced by subtle vanilla and dark fruit sweetness; dry finish with a hint of roast lingering. Medium body and carbonation.

Draft at the brewery. Pours black with a creamy beige head. Tastes like bitter coffee beans, rich espresso, creamy sweet chocolate. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like roasted coffee beans and chocolate syrup.

Draft at the Funky Buddha Brewery in Oakland Park, FL. Plastic cup (large MBCP release party...no snifters.) Iíve had this beer a million times but never rated it for some reason. So here we go. Pours a black, opaque almost oil with a mocha thin head. The nose is first the coconut and then the dark chocolate, cocoa nibs, vanilla, roasted malts and prunes. The taste is pretty much the same with the coconut not being as defined as in the aroma. But the chocolate and cocoa nibs come through nicely and the finish is chocolate and coconut. Heavy, full body with a creamy mouth feel. Soft finish. Very tasty as always.

On-tap at Hunahpuís Day 2012. Original review 03-13-2012.

Pours darker brown, cream-colored head, thin ring on top. Amazing nose, to say the least. Coconut, coffee beans, chocolate, light roast, expresso, burnt sugars, and vanilla. You just want to hold this up to your nose and breath...yes, that good. Not quite as good as the nose, yet still excellent. Coconut, expresso, roasted coffee beans, vanilla. For 6.5%, it drinks very cream-like, which is really cool. The milk chocolate notes are quite as evident on the palate, yet still very good. Finish is toasted coconut and chocolate roast. Medium body, rich and smooth, light carbonation, creamy finish.

One of my favorites on-tap at Hunahpuís Day. I was left thinking, "what the hell just happened there." Definitely a standout on any tap list, and truthfully, one of the top beers there.
