COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our search for the finest cocoa nibs brought us to the far corners of the earth. We tried them all: raw nibs from Guatemala; roasted jewels from the West Indies. But the most potent, intensely chocolatey ones we found hailed from the far-away reaches of Brazil. But there was one problem. We had to get them back. So with sacks in tow, we stole away with those precious nibs and smuggled them, along with fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans, deep into the reaches of a pitch black milk porter. And so, Nib Smuggler Chocolate Milk Porter was born.

12 oz bottle from Florida served in a goblet. This is a classic dessert beer. Itís sweet but not cloying, with a very strong influence of cocoa nibs and moderate vanilla bean. The aroma features cocoa, subtle vanilla, dark bread, and a hint of coffee. Overall: Good balance, lots of flavor and an enticing aroma. Worth seeking out.

Sample at the "Post Beer Week Bottle Share" on 06/06/16. Pours a dark brown color with a medium creamy tan head that dissipates steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roasted malt, cocoa and vanilla coffee. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. Pours with a huge amount of carbonation. The aroma and flavor are both muted. I did not expect this beer to be delicate. There are the chocolate notes, and creamy porter notes. The body is thin. I think this may have had an infection/wild yeast.

Bottle @ home, thanks to homer321. Pours a deep brown / black appearance with a lasting dark brown head. Aroma has chocolate, caramel, fudge, light coffee, vanilla, and a hint of green pepper. Fairly high carbonation. Moderate to moderate plus sweetness. Moderate low bitterness. Fairly well balanced. Plenty of chocolate and dessert notes in the flavor. Pretty good though the carbonation seems to be a little too strong (and no notes of green pepper in the flavor). Fine.

Pours a deep brownish black from the bottle with thin tan head that dissipates to leave light lace. Aroma of big chocolate notes, like milk chocolate, straight up. Taste follows, insanely chocolate milk. How much cocoa nib do they use, really insane. Coating mouth, mild carbonation, nice stuff for dessert or night cap.

Bottle given to me by a friend. Darkest brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma of malt, vanilla and chocolate. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some vanilla before a creamy finish.
