When we set out to make Nib Smuggler, we wanted to create a chocolate beer that was intensely chocolatey. So, we sourced the most potent, whole cocoa nibs we could find from South America, along with real vanilla beans for some added contrast. Flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and cream combine to create this rich, compelling chocolate porter.

Draft… This beer rocks!… Pours very dark brown with a small, creamy, khaki head. The nose is jam-packed with chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate. I’ve never experienced this level of intense chocolate in the aroma of a beer treated only with cacao nibs. Medium-bodied with a skim-milk mouthfeel and busy carbonation. The flavor is moderately sweet and very chocolaty. Again, nibs, nibs, nibs, nothing but nibs! Finishes chocolaty and lightly sweet. Very refreshing, yet nourishing. Brazilian cacao is obviously “juiced” and probably illegal in the U.S., so drink it while they got it! World class brew!
