On tap at the Funky Buddha. Dark brown/black pour with an off white head. Aromas of oak and vanilla. A little thin in the body, but still a fantastic stout with chocolate malt, toffee, vanilla, and bourbon flavors. How stoked are we to have the Buddha right here in our back yard.....

Bottle thanks to Ryan from the Buddha. Pours a dark husky near black with a small tan head. Nose is quite interesting. Huge woody nose with some chocolate and a very intriguing salted pretzel note. Flavor is pretty balanced. Huge amounts of fudge and chocolate with a little whisky flavor finishes with an off astringent bitterness. The only real off note in the whole affair. Very solid imperial stout.

On draft at the Buddha. Super dark pour with a brown bubbly head. Aroma is boozy (bourbon), hints of vanilla, cream. Flavor is a little heavy on the tongue but once it warmed up a bit I got a good smokey flavor mixed with vanilla and chocolate. Quite an intense beer but a tasty one at that.

Draft… Pours black with a small, creamy, mushroom-color head. Great retention. The nose is of bourbon (definitely Beam), tons of vanilla, oak, pouch tobacco, coconut and light fudge. Full-bodied and velvety with tingly carbonation. The flavors supplies blackstrap molasses (sans the sweetness), charcoal and ash. Even at room temperature, the sweetness is just not there. Scorched, bitter, acrid finish… with a nod toward the satanic side of existence.
