COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
“Make the long night shorter, Forgetting not, Good stout old English Porter.” — R. H. Messenger

Luscious and silky smooth with a body to match, OP Porter is uncompromisingly rich yet surprisingly drinkable. A complex blend of dark malts and real milk sugar creates the bold flavors of dark roast coffee mingling with farm fresh cream. For the stout and porter lover in each of us, OP is a knockout.

Pairing suggestions: Cave-aged Bleu cheese, arancini with veal ragu, roast pork with gravy, bacon burger with fried egg and cheddar cheese, molten chocolate cake.

Pitch black in color with some cream colored head that faded into a very thin collar. Aroma is very roasty, some dark chocolate and a hint coffee. Taste is roasted malt, and an earthiness to it too. Rich, full body and medium carbonation.

INky, very little of the ringing tan foam. Roasty, slightly creosotic aroma. Smoky, rauchbier-tasting at times, coffee tang, very lightly sweet. Sweet aftertaste. The beer gets clingy after a while. On tap, Proof, downstairs with LuckyDog.

Dark brown with a nice tan head. Coffee and roasted aromas lead into a coffee and chocolate taste. Medium body. Nice beer.

brystmar (1189) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAR 7, 2014
Rich and smooth. Dark brown body, tons of sticky tan lace. Silky body leads to a malty, roasty profile. A bit sweet for a porter, but it works. Tasty.

Bierkrug (2131) - Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, GERMANY - FEB 26, 2014
On tap at the World of Beer in Coconut Creek, FL. Was in a tulip glass a dark brown color with a large fluffy light tan head. Aroma is a roasted malt with a subtle sweetness and a touch of leather. Only a slight lingering bitterness. Palate is very easy drinking. Very nice!

Growler shared at tasting. Pours black with clearish head, not much lace. Notes are burnt caramel, roast, toast, chocolate, coffee and smooth malt and some light dehydrated peanut butter. Sessionable for a porter but has enough flavor.
