Nose is luscious chocolate, light coffee. I think I smell bitter chocolate. Flavor is the same. Slightly more dark chocolate in the flavor but stops shirt of being astringent or overly coffee. Good stuff.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drinks almost like a brown porter. It’s got a nice nose of roasted malt and some sweet malts, little to no hop character. Some kinda zest is in the nose also. Flavor is smooth roasted malt and some chocolate malt. I dig it

Draft at Churchkey during DC Craft Beer Week. Poured a dark brown color with a small off-white head, ruby edges. Aroma was some roasted malts, with some chocolate. Flavor was roasted malts, chocolate. Interesting. Is this a sweet stout or a porter? Will the world ever know?
