Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Pours hazy neon pink with a light, fizzy pink head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is raspberry and cabbage, light straw malt and spicy hops. Flavor is raspberry dominant with heavy acidity and a thin dry finish. Light body and warmth with medium carbonation.

Wow, sour. Tart acetic raspberry, some lemon. Very one dimensional. Some vegetal notes. Astringent notes.

Let me begin by saying that subjectively speaking this is not my kind of beer, but being objective, it is truly fantastic. It is a refreshing Berliner with a nice balance of sourness to it. The Raspberry was not overwhelming at all and had a quenching quality to it. The carbonation in it was quite prevalent and for me a bit much, but overall it was fantastic and certainly a great beer to experience. A fine pour and one that I am sure will be exciting to many Berliner lovers. I would place it in my top ten of Berliners despite my lack of true affinity for the style.

Draft at the Buddha - pours a beautiful shade of red. A nice amount of raspberries in the nose and mouth. Dry and tart at the end. Overall, this beer is sour and great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour from a 22 oz bottle. Pours with a pinkish hue, tons of carbonation, slight fruits notes in the nose with a very slight hit of lactic. The taste matches the nose pretty spot on, not to bad of a beer.

From notes. Second bottle: The second bottle that I opened was siginficantly different and worse than the first. The first bottle was a beautiful raspberry pink color with the complete aroma and flavor of raspberries. More recently, the bottle we opened was a much lighter pink color, more cloudy pink with a golden tint to it. The aroma and flavor both perfectly resemble pink lemonade. This is not a terrible flavor, but it simply does not compare to the glorious bottle that was opened a few months prior. My new score reflects an average of the two bottles I have had. Since there is such big bottle or batch variation, I will leave it this way until I have a few consistent bottles. Original review (4.5/5/5/5/5) 10-23-2011: Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a tulip. This is one of the prettiest colors I have seen in a beer. A raspberry pink color with a sligh haziness and a few yeast particles floating throughout. A white bubbly head froths up originally and then fades to almost nothing. The aroma smells like field fresh raspberries, lemon zest, a little bit of grapefruit citrus, and some wild mushrooms as well. The flavor is chock full of raspberries. The flavor is mildy sour, which is the perfect raspberry tartness for me. Some pale malt, lemon zest, and grapefruit contribute to the sour flavor, and the finish is only lightly sour. The body feels fairly light but is medium for the style. The carbonation straddles creamy and carbonated very nicely. Tart, crisp, and refreshing. This is one of the most fantastic beers I have ever had. I am very grateful to have been able to try it and would definitely pursue more bottles.

Bottle thanks to Casey! Pours light red with pink head. Nose/taste of whole raspberries, lactose, light acidic funk, yogurt and grapefruit zest. Nose has lots of raspberry yogurt qualities to it. Taste is funky and sweet with a solid sour backbone. Medium body. Probably the best berliner weisse Iíve had that wasnít made by Dickinsonbeer.

Grapefruit color with fizzy white head. Aroma is sour grapes, grapefruit citrus and silly putty. Taste is very tart and mildly sweet with tons of carbonation.

22 oz bottle shared by Kan. Thanks! Pours a sunset pinkish orange hue, a glowing haze, well carbonated with a whitish head, good spotty thicker ring. Laces ok overall. Aromas are tangy raspberries and lemons, touches of lactic acidity, yogurt, and more fuzzy raspberries, fruity berry and touches of fuzz, tartness, almost a faint urine essence that is sharp, but I donít think itís pee.. Itís probabl just the play between the raspberries and lactic qualities, itís quite seedy raspbbery. Sour and lively on the nose. Initial is light bodied offering a healthy sour raspberry appeal, no real sweetness, the skins and tannins hanging on. Sufficient sourness, lively carbonation, lots of lemons, lactic acid, touches of yogurt. Flaked wheat, dry bread and dough. Raspberries really work well for me, quite tasty and sour, yet not acetic at all. Refreshing, light, and quite "crushable". Perhaps a touch softer in itís assault would be nice, dry. Tasty but simple, lacks depth from the fruit. It is what it is, a lot of seediness, refreshing.

Bottle. Finally rating live in Kans lower level. Its been years Of trying to get access and finally Monica hooks up the code proving sheís the one who gets things done. This pours slight reddish gold with white head. Aroma of perfume, raspberry seeds, lactic, almost urinal cakey. Flavors are sweet raspberry juice and seeds but that fades into a very tart lemon and lactic character, while it finishes rather acidic. Spritzy carbonation. Lacks a pronounced lactic character butthe fruit interplays nicely.
