3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 markwise (2914) - North of Tampa, USA - AUG 9, 2011
On draft at the St. Pete Craft Beer Expo. Pours a hazy and particulate pink-yellow with a white head. Nose is raspberry puree, berry juice, and some bread with raspberry seeds. Flavor is very raspberry- puree, juice, and seeds. If you like raspberries, then this is your (figurative) huckleberry. Medium in body for a wheat beer and nice overall.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 burg326 (1113) - Florida, USA - DEC 23, 2011
On draft at the Funky Buddha, poured a light ruby red color with aromas of raspberry puree, a smidge of wheat, and more raspberries. Flavor is much the same, all raspberry flavor, not much wheat. Decent beer on draft.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 DavoleBomb (1143) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2011
Had yesterday at the brewpub. Review from notes. Received in a snifter.
3.5 A: Nearly opaque ruby red color. Came without a head.
3.0 S: Surprisingly, there is a lot of raspberry in there. Unfortunately, there really isn’t much of anything else. Not even a neutral wheatiness can be detected.
3.0 T: Like the nose - lots of raspberry and not much else. However, the raspberry is strong enough to maintain control of the beer (aka this doesn’t taste like watered down fruit juice) and keep it reasonably tasty.
3.5 M: Lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Reasonably creamy for what it is.
3.0 D: Not much of a wheat beer, but a decent attempt at a fruit beer.
Serving type: on-tap

Draft… Cloudy dark pink ale with a flash of orange and a small, creamy, pinkish head. The bouquet is of whole, fresh raspberries and pale grain – mainly raspberries. Medium-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is fruity and medium tart. Lightly sweet and mildly yeasty. Crisp, lightly tart finish. Easy drinker. Quite nice.
