COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Double IPAs - you’re on notice. Small Axe Big IPA is a golden hued IPA that’s deceptively strong and full of tropical hop aroma. Cascade, citra, centennial, nelson sauvin, and nugget hops combine to form an aroma and flavor that’s straight up tropical, with heady notes of pineapple, orange, mango, guava, and grapefruit.

A golden DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with pungent floral piney hops, light treacle, pleasant. In mouth, a rather sweet cloying caramel malt with fruity esters, tropical fruit, pink grapefruit, floral hops, ... Unfortunately, the initial sweetness is jarring. On tap at Brew Hub Lakeland.

On tap at First Magnitude. Murky orange gold pour. Stale dead hops and some biscuity malts on the nose. Flavor follows that closely, with a dry bitterness. This was awfully disappointing, and I hope the keg has just been sitting around a while or something. Otherwise, poor effort by FB.

Poured from a tap. Clear golden color, full frothy white head. Medium floral aroma. Medium body with a crisp bitter hops flavor that does not linger and has a relatively clean finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Dixie. Copper pour with a white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. All kinds of tangy grapefruit hop notes. A bit unbalanced but by far the best IPA by the Buddha. Good mouthfeel, with a good body, and balance.

Just sorta there as DIPAs with this hop profile go, the tropical fruitiness, grapefruit pith, these things show up but aren’t nearly as prevalent as in Crusher, a lighter and more drinkable beer. I dunno. Definitely "good" but not nearly great.

Tallahassee, Fl. - Proof Production facility - on tap, with Aurelius. Sparkling medium golden pour, snow white head with a bit of lace. Aroma has some pine, brown sugar, some plasticy essence. Flavor has some citrus bitterness, maple syrup, caramel sweetness and an underlying honey essence. Sticky mouthfeel. Not bad at all.

Vaporous honey, slightly sweet, slightly citrus aroma -- smells like sweet tea made with orange blossom honey. Clear, light coppery gold, white head. Slippery and sweet. Plasticky here and there. Hops kick out in the finish. Medium heavy body. On tap, Proof Production Facility. Just OK, a bit boozy.

4oz pour at Churchkey DC pours a clear orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has some pithy orange, soap, mild herbs, a little lemon tea. Flavor is pithy, soapy, orange, pine. Full, pithy finish. A bit off.
