4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Fritz123 (239) - Boca Raton, Florida, USA - APR 5, 2013
Draft at the Funky Buddha in Boca Raton, FL. Well it is everything the name suggests. Pours a nice golden amber color with a thick white head. Mine was in a snifter. The aroma is cinnamin, sweet potatoe, marshmellow, and spices. Similar tastes. It wasn’t overbearing sweet which I was affraid. Light sweetness with the flavors blending well together. It really tasted like a (less sweet) sweet potatoe caserole. Although one was enough (it was very rich) I was really amazed. Very nicely done by the Buddha.
4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 mixmasterob (831) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 24, 2013
Brewvival 2013. Poured a cloudy caramel color. Aroma was bug and sweet. Full of marshmallow, butterscotch, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Flavors were in line. Sweet vanilla and spices, viscous body with light carbonation. Velvety and smooth. Fun and interesting. Definitely a highlight of the fest.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hopscotch (8217) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - NOV 4, 2012
Draft... This beer rocks!… Pours a murky caramel color with a small, creamy, white head. Smells a lot like Muy Bonita minus the apple element. The aroma offers big-time graham alongside more subtle notes of toasted marshmallow and yam. Full-bodied and chewy with buzzing carbonation. The flavor is luxuriant, sweet and spicy - brown sugar and toffee intermingled with cinnamon and yam. Finishes medium sweet and nourishing. Reminiscent of a really good English barleywine, but way more interesting and fun. World class stuff!

Served on-tap at Funky Buddha 10/4. Leftover from their 2nd Anniversary Celebration
A: Pours mahogany with a small cap. Decent retention
S: Definitely lives up to the name, this is awesome and has every note typical of a sweet potato casserole; holiday spices, toasted marshmallow, brown sugar, and certainly sweet potato. Impressive and creative!
T: Nailed it, what else can you say. A little on the sweet side but not cloyingly so. A sipper for sure.
MF/O: Smooth mellow carbonation, cinnamon marshmallow finish. Alcohol is very well hidden, but one or two of these is probably enough in one sitting. Definitely one of those novelty beers that happen to be delicious.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 dimenhetfield (2354) - , Florida, USA - SEP 30, 2012
On draft at the Buddha for their 2nd Anniversary party. Of all the beers they had on tap that day I was probably most intrigued by this one. Wasn’t sure what to expect but I ordered it and hoped for something tasty. The aroma is a mix between marshmellows, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Flavor is on the sweeter side but not to the point where it’s off putting. Probably considered a dessert beer but I’d definitely order this again.
