4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2012 Draft... This beer rocks!... Mostly clear, dark, burnt-orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The bouquet furnishes dank, floral and piney hops intermingled with biscuit and fruitcake malts. Full-bodied and downright chewy with modest carbonation. Grassy, resiny hop flavors abound and rest upon the brawny shoulders of toffee and candied-fruit malts. Finishes a touch too syrupy, but then acrid, fruity and tannic bitterness takes over and lingers for a good while. World class meal in a glass!

On tap at the brewpub on 10-28-12. Pours a pinkish haze with a inch plus of white head. Stanky skunky aroma. Mouthfeel is thiiiiiick! This is a big boy. Taste is like rise water and hop extract. Good stuff.

Pours a rich gold color with a tiny creamy head. Decent retention given the high ABV. Citrus, tons of resin and pine, and certainly malty. This DIPA is earthy and big, but never boozy. Definitely a nice sipper
