COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

0.5 l bottle, thanks Timo A! Dark amber color. Sweet, toffeish and bready aroma. Sweet toffeish, caramelly and slightly berryish flavor with low bitterness. Needs more bitterness or roastedness for a balance.

Amber with a nice grey head. Sweet aroma of corn and caramel. The flavour is also very sweet with further notes of brown sugar and bread. No beer renaissance here

Moolesen (39) - NETHERLANDS - OCT 16, 2009
Bottle 50cl. Dark red/brown colour, with a rather small head. The nose reminds me a bit of freshed baked rye bread, sweetness and some malt. It is very present in the glass. The taste is somehow different than the nose, as it adds a bitterness which I cannot decide if I like or disturbs the sweetness I would expect. It is not a beer in harmony in my opinion, but is easy to drink.
