COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

Bottled @ KØ 2006:Orange coloured. Quite clear. Beige small head. Aroma of ripe fruit and light smoke. Flavour is pruny, sherrylike and overall very riped fruity. Has a medium body and a quite smooth mouthfeel. Ends on a fruity note with a light touch of bitterness. Not your everyday Brown ale, but a nice brew.

Draught. White head. Dark red unclear body. Roasted malt aroma with notes of blackberries. Unexpected bitterness from this brewer. Thanks.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a clear orangey brown with a delicate, off-white head with good retention. Aroma of roasted malt and a wee whiff of smoke. Considering the alcohol, the body is surprisingly thin, almost watery. Flavours of roasted malt, some sweetness and then again a slightly smoked accent. Weak, hoppy finish. A rather odd hybrid between a Bock and a Porter - well, I suppose calling it a Brown Ale will do. 060506

Bottle. Nut brown in colour and with a medium brownish head. Nice sweetness and maltyness. Notes of nuts, and fruits. And maybe a faint hint of smoke.

(on tap) The oddest name for a brown ale..A dry, slightly burnt caramel aroma. High, but nicely carbonation and a full, malt flavour. Fades out OK, into an easy dryness on the palate.

An amber beer with a thick brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and herbs, but also slight hints of smoke and tared rope. The flavor is sweet with herbs being the main note, but also hints of smoke, leading to a dry end. The mouthfeel is quite carbonated - too much for my liking, and the body is thin inspite of the alcohol content.

Sweet aroma of malt, caramel and liquorice. Colour somewhere in between red, brown and amber. Off-white head that doesn’t last longer then average. Caramel and roasted taste with some bitterness in the aftertaste, which incidentally lasts a long time. Creamy pleasant mouth feel. No doubt a good beer, just not my kind of beer.

Red brownish colour with a medium mostly lasting creamy white head. Sweet aroma of malt and caramel with some bitterness in the finish. Best from Fur so far.
