COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Fur Renæssance is a top fermented beer of the Brown Ale style. Dark and reddish golden color with a dense creme colored head with a long durability and leaves nice lacings on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts and hop flowers. Balanced and harmonious flavor of smoked malt amongst others, which finishes with strong hop notes. Danish inspired Brown Ale brewed with five different types of malt - smoked malt amongst others - and five types of hops - both bittering and aroma hops - which are added in three stages.

hældt i kwak glas, lækker brunlig / nøddebrun gylden , lækker skummende som forbliver , men lidt for kort... mild maltet røgsmag over i sødlig blid på gane... super...

Thin colour à la nut brown ale. Malty, soft aroma with a hint of fresh hoppy bitterness. Creamy head. Taste is full bodied and fruity. Full of malt and with a touch of light roast and smokiness. Bitterness is light, fleeting, however nicely apparent in the aftertaste. In total a well balanced craft beer, but not reaching exceptional height. 2011-08-06

Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber/brown with an off-white/beige head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet, fat and malty, with a tart yoghurt-like note and a spicy overtone. Roasted and dark fruit notes as it warms. Cloying. Flavour is sweet and roasted with hops in the background. Tart, bitter, roasted finish with notes of coffee and a lingering grassy note. The roasted parts were quite stout-like, but didn’t really match with the rest of the profile. Overall okay, but too cloying for my liking. 26.07.11.
