50cl bottle: Pours a hazy deep golden with a clingy-lacing froth of white head. Has a lightly sweet wheaty nose with some banana and yeasty esters. Starts with pretty good fullness and light sweetness with some clove spice and mild noble hop bitterness before a smooth finish. True to style and very drinkable.

Flasche gemeinsam mit McTapps getestet und durchaus für gut befunden, da die Aromen der Fruchtigkeit mit einer dezenten Hefenote punkten konnten.

Milky light amber colour with steady head and medium body. Nose of mild yeast, green bananas, fruit salad and ripe grains. Sweetish finish. Easy to drink, really refreshing and quaffable.

500 ML swing top bottle from Total Wine, Naples FL. Perfect eye appeal. Deep hazy gold with lively carbonation. Lots of retention coating the weizen glass all the way down. Nose and taste is all about the yeast, as it should be! Banana and wheat yeast has a long lingering duration after the sip. Light spicy note in the main body. The mouthfeel is on the dry side. I can only imagine how great this would be on draft. This bottle must be on the fresh side. God bless the Reinheitsgebot!

Quite similar to the hefeweispils but it’s even fruitier! Which ends up being too much for me, especially the banana which is through the roof.

Bottle from Total Wine. Gorgeous pour of murky orange underneath a sizeable white head that recedes to a lid of froth. The nose is comforting and warm with vanilla and banana. Flavors display grains, cereal, banana, very subtle clove. The mouthfeel is creamy. Soft carbonation and light body. Very enjoyable Hefe for sure.

Bottle. Moderate malt notes of light bread and grain, light lemon for the hops, moderate dough for the yeast, with hints of banana, pear and clove. Head is average size, frothy/fizzy, white withno lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is sparkling clear light amber. Flavor starts faintly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly acidic and faintly bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a lively to fizzy carbonation. Perfect aroma balance for a German Hefeweizen with nice flavors and a refreshing feel.

Bottle - 500mL swing-top. Best before 25.09.13. Hazy gold with a tall white head. Aroma is sweet with banana, bubblegum , wheat notes and toasted white bread. Taste is sweet malt, toasted grains, bubblegum, banana and candied notes. Body is light with a soft, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more bubblegum, banana, sweet malt, candied fruit and wheat.

Aromas of banana nut bread, but not the clove or spice smells I was looking for. It’s darker than I’d expect a hefeweizen to be. TONS of candi sugar at the beginning, but it finishes better than I thought it would. It has a fizzy, almost champagne-like, mouthfeel. It’s a fine beer, but not an exciting beer.
