Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!
Insgesamt sehr rezent.

Flip top 500 ml bottle. Dark brown head thick and frothy. Brown body. Very smooth with a slighly chocolate taste. Low carbonation. Overall a good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml flip-top bought in Germany. Pours a deep reddish brown with a big beige head, aromas of sweet malt and caramel, and a hint of bread dough. More caramel on the palate but with a nice balancing peppery hoppy bite and a drying malty finish. A light tang of dark fruit and dry cocoa in the tail. Very nice.

(on bottle; superthanx to yogi)Came out as a dunkel with lightly bitter finishnotes; made the usual comments on color and fo forth. BUT, when I sat down, to drink the rest of the beer, it really changed my view of it. I had some peanuts and chorizo, while drinking and watching TV and the landknecht became a fantastic swll, for the sofa; I had a small party; all alone and with one beer; cheers yogi, it saved my evening.

2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Appearance is lacking on this, as it poured with foamy head that faded very fast. Color is of murky cola. Aroma is malt, nuts, brown sugar. Taste is sweet, malt, nuts. Overall mouthfeel seems watery and sweetness is the most notable lingering flavor

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
(bottle from Sparky, thanks again E!) Pours out a semi-clear reddish brown color with a towering cream colored head that settles to a nice medium cap with a lot of lacing. Really enjoyed being greeted with toasted grain, roasted nuts, cocoa (Co-Co Krispies cereal to be exact), and musty lager yeast. Not much else beyond that, but there doesn’t need to be when it’s this good. Somewhat reminiscent of a brown ale. Shades of Fitger’s Beaver Bay. Flavor doesn’t disappoint, with tastes of cocoa, toasted almonds, faint caramel sweetness, and toasted cereal grains on the finish which gently continues for quite some time. Mouthfeel is nothing short of perfect. Holy hell this is good.
