Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, leichte schokoladige Noten, leicht würzig.

Total Wine, Fairfax 50cl: Pours slightly cloudy brownish amber with a beige head. Aroma is slightly fruity and quite malty. Taste is somewhat sweet. Light German hops. Slightly sticky aftertaste. There are some coffee or something similar notes. Very easy to drink. Pretty good.

(bottle from Sparky, thanks again E!) Pours out a semi-clear reddish brown color with a towering cream colored head that settles to a nice medium cap with a lot of lacing. Really enjoyed being greeted with toasted grain, roasted nuts, cocoa (Co-Co Krispies cereal to be exact), and musty lager yeast. Not much else beyond that, but there doesn’t need to be when it’s this good. Somewhat reminiscent of a brown ale. Shades of Fitger’s Beaver Bay. Flavor doesn’t disappoint, with tastes of cocoa, toasted almonds, faint caramel sweetness, and toasted cereal grains on the finish which gently continues for quite some time. Mouthfeel is nothing short of perfect. Holy hell this is good.

Aroma herbal noble nose with sweet darker malts. Very clean.

Base: hazy amber brown.
Palate : smooth, good drinkability with medium body, mid walls.
Taste: mild hop note , dark rye bread like feel. Sweeter base. Clean.
Other notes Drinkable mild unfiltered dark lager. Clean and refreshing.

Poured from a cold bottle, dark cloudy molasses color, medium tan head. Smells of fruit and minerals. Smooth taste, slight bitterness with a roasted candy taste.

Boekanier (44) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2013
Pours a clear brown/reddish beer. The foam unfortunately dissappears quite quickly. The best aspect of this beer is its aroma: a really good malty character. The taste is a bit disappointing and pales to insignificance compared to the aroma. The aftertaste is nice though and contains a sweetish bitterness.

Appearance is lacking on this, as it poured with foamy head that faded very fast. Color is of murky cola. Aroma is malt, nuts, brown sugar. Taste is sweet, malt, nuts. Overall mouthfeel seems watery and sweetness is the most notable lingering flavor
