Kleine Bügelverschlußflasche (mit herzlichem Dank an Jonas !): Amber coloured, clear, smaller, slowly collapsing off-white head; sweet fruity (dried fruit) and a bit (toasted-) malty nose with a vinous touch; robust sweet flavour with a little bitterness; medium to full bodied; solid malty, sweet and fruity finish with a delicate bitterness in the wings. A well crafted, well quaffable Bock.............

Ok Test vom 13.11.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 10,8,9,9,12,9 - 9,10

0.33 L swing-top bottle purchased at Bier Imperium Wien. Pours a nice dark amber with a rapidly dissipating head. Very sweet roasted malt flavor followed by a balancing bitter finish. Very nice Doppelbock!

Swing top bottle. Fruity, light nutty caramel aroma. Red amber, off-white layer. apples, pears and oranges with a caramel glazing, initial sweetness which is well countered by a sufficient aromatic hop proile. Salty notes. Medium chewy body, light sparkly. Nice, easy drinkable Doppelbock.

(33cl swing top bottle) Clear, dark amber colour wih a short, off-white foamy head. Sweet dark malty, slightly toasted aroma with caramel, light fruity notes of dried fruits and a shy but noticeable herbal hoppy touch. Sweet flavour, with a light roasted bitterness, medium to full bodied on a smooth carbonation. Moderately roasted malty taste with caramel, dried fruits (plums); sweet and soft roast-bitter finish. Pleasant Doppelbock, well-rounded with a restrained alcoholic smell and taste.

Small beige head over red-foxy beer. Caramel, sweet, and very little else; offputting. Sweet, roasted and a finish which is wryer, I’d nealy say hoppy. But not very good hops, I fear. Slick, sticky and medium bodied. Unconvincing is putting it nicely.

Bottle, 7.5% as Winter-Böckle. Nice aroma, slightly sweet, creamy and nicely roasted. Clear chestnut colour, small semi-stable light brown head. The flavour is very nice and well-balanced. Roasted, a bit sweet, dusty and malty. Slightly salty liquorice aftertaste. Low to medium, slightly prickling carbonation. Very nice doppelbock. Not overpowering, but flavourful, enjoyable and palatable.

Ungstrup (23981) - Oamaru, NEW ZEALAND - MAR 8, 2006
A hazy dark amber beer with a small amber head. The aroma is dusty combined with notes of caramel and light notes of alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet alcohol with strong notes of caramel as well as hints of metal, probably stemming from the alcohol.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes as "Wallerstein Winter Böckle" at 7.5% ABV. Clear, dark orangey amber with a lightly creamy, off-white head. Extremely malty, caramelish nose. Very full body with plenty of caramel and roasted malt. Notes of sherry. Has a distinct hoppy finish. Very solid and refined Bock. 160206
